A wonderful welcome from Adam who is the consummate host. The house is in a lovely peaceful location and is beautifully appointed and well equipped. We threw Adam a couple of curve balls during our stay and he dealt speedily with everything. Road to and from village is steep but perfectly do-able on foot - reward yourself with a coffee or aperitif at either end! We had not sussed that the bathroom between the two large bedrooms was a Jack-and-Jill arrangement, but one couple just used the other bathroom downstairs. Spacious, calm and welcoming - we hope to be back.

Totally agree with the previous reviews - from the moment you arrive at Ca S'Escultor you're struck by the sheer beauty of the location and stunning views. The house is gorgeous and clean, with everything you need for a comfortable and fun stay.
And then there's Adam, a phenomenal host - kind, helpful and very easy going. He has a great understanding of the elements needed to have a good holiday and went above and beyond to make sure that we enjoyed ourselves.
If you get the chance to go on Adam's boat, take it. It's a wonderful way to see the island and a memorable day out.
We cannot recommend Ca S'Escultor more highly. Thanks Adam.

Fabulous location and property! Simply dreamy. Very gracious host who went above and beyond to meet all our needs. Please check your price as is different for main house only or both main house and guest house together, this is something I was not aware of until our number of guests changed at the last minute. This property is up a pretty steep hill, which creates the beautiful view, but keep that in mind for your car rental. Really fell in love with Poppy the outdoor cat and the town of Valldemossa is so beautiful. Highly recommend this property!

We enjoyed 8 days with our 2 kids in this beautiful location. It was a warm season and we loved the big pool with the slide, the beer dispenser and the sun beds in the natural shade. It is really a great spot and Adam welcomed us in a very nice way and helped us quickly when there were any problems or questions.
Although it wasn't a problem for us, we would still like to mention that things start to get a bit old (e.g. one sun bed was broken and the mattrass in the main bedroom was way too soft for us and feels very much laid out).
We can still highly recommend this place when you are looking for a true hide-away in the mountains far away from mass tourism but still only 3 minutes by car and 5 minutes by foot to the beautiflul centre of Valldemossa.

From the second you lay eyes on this Finca, you fall in love. The property, the view, the perfect facilities, and everything around it are just wonderful. Adam’s a great host, a genuinely lovely bloke and understands what makes a great holiday.
The area around the property is beautiful and although busy with tourists, you’re far away enough to enjoy the beauty they’re all trying to enjoy. We loved it and 100% will be coming back. Thanks Ca S’Escultor and thanks Adam for giving our family memories we’ll never forget ❤️

We had an incredible stay. To start the location is fantastic and you look over the town of Valldemossa. You can walk to town whenever you like but still have privacy from the day trippers. We spent our days exploring the Tramauntana mountains hiking and visiting the towns and sea coves. Then we would come back to the well equipped kitchen and cook dinner and hang out at the pool. There is also a BBQ and outdoor beer tap. We also used the billiards table and played table tennis and bacci. The outdoor shower with hot water is a nice addition. Every detail of this property is well thought out. The air conditioning was also appreciated. It was a once in a lifetime stay.

The views were incredible - even better than the photos. Very charming house.

This property was a little slice of peace and tranquility located in the hills of valldemossa. Need to be prepared for a steep drive and a 20 minute hilly walk into town but well worth it. Adam is very hospitable and helpful with suggestions. We would recommend Es Taller for dinner. Breathtaking view of the mountains and town with beautiful gardens full of fresh lemons. Easy drive to the airport and eastern side of the island.

Absolutely loved staying at this property! Everything was perfect right from the start. My friends and I had an amazing time here and wish we could have stayed forever. This is a must-book property if you are looking for a quiet place to stay with a beautiful view and picturesque small town within walking distance.

Adam has a lovely space and the view is breathtaking. The property has a citric grove, and the fresh lemons and oranges were an added bonus. Adam is a great host and I’d recommend this property to anyone interested in visiting Mallorca! Thanks for the relaxing and great time, Adam!

We left our hearts in Ca S'Escultor...
WARNING: You will lose a piece of your heart to this enchanted Mallorcan mountain villa and its sweet, precious Poppy (the grand dame 20-year-old kitty who shared her home with us.)
My husband + I, and our three kids ages 20, 18 and 16, spent four days day-tripping around the island and enjoying every inch of Ca S’Escultor. Here is our report: PERFECT location for easy trips to surrounding UNESCO villages and a quick zip down the "highway" to Palma. We did it all, dear reader. Valldemossa is the undisputed gem of the Tramuntana mountains. Chic restaurants + traditional bakeries, shops featuring Mallorcan pearls + local fabrics, winding cobbled streets + windows decorated with blooming window boxes, a Chopin museum culture-fix and fabulous centrally located medieval cathedral.
Savvy Vrbo explorers will agree: an engaged host who wants guests to fall as hard for their little part of the world as they have is the difference between a great trip and an *unforgettable life experience.* Meet Adam, your joyful host! We arrived late at night and discovered Adam had opened the house prior to meeting up with us. Candles glowed on the fireplace mantle, cafe lights twinkled in the trees around the pool + a bottle of Mallorcan wine stood ready to toast to our adventures ahead, Adam's warmth and energy is contagious! We're not native Spanish speakers and found it incredibly comforting to know Adam was there when we needed him - he promptly replied to Whatsapp messages day + night, and assisted us with tricky restaurant resos and the island's unique taxi system.
Discerning travelers will appreciate that everything is impeccably clean and every creature comfort provided for in this mountaintop family home. We loved experiencing an authentic sense of place - albeit a luxurious one - amidst the home’s traditional Mallorcan design replete with exposed beams, tiled floors + scrubbed farm table. Ca S’Escultor is lush with mountain trees + flowers, and feels private and secluded. Every window looks out upon a fairytale view of the hillside village of Valldemossa in the distance. Amenities galore! Our boys sunned in the pool while Poppy napped nearby in the shade of a terracotta pot spilling over with fat geraniums. My daughter and I decamped with books on chaise lounges under palm umbrellas that fluttered + made swishing noises in the breeze. My husband loved the cold local beer on tap poolside!
When you visit, please love on Poppy + tell Adam we'll be back!

Fantastic property - hope to stay again one day
We are back from a wonderful stay at Ca S'Escultor which we will remember forever - it is one of those special places that stays with you.
The other reviewers have said it all and having stayed now, I agree with what they have said, so I won't rehash.
Special memories will include the view (10/10 incredible), the peace and privacy, picking fresh lemons, the beer tap (yes your own private beer tap serving you San Miguel), table tennis, Poppy, the hammocks, the beautiful town of Valldemossa - I could go on for a lot longer.
Adam is a fantastic host as others have said. He's also very responsive if you have any questions.
Would I stay again? Definitely!!

Bar none the best vacation experience of our lives
I don’t even know where to begin to explain how the listing description and the pictures do not do this place the justice it deserves.
Probably the most friendly and charming host of property I’ve ever met. Adam was more than accommodating and really made us feel like he cared about us enjoying our time.
So many things went into the design and comfort engineering of this place, it’s unreal! Heated floors, fireplaces throughout house, authentic Spanish feel, custom made and antique local furniture, the location being in the best spot in all of Mallorca, and absolute privacy.
We hiked up to the rear mountain the property sits on and enjoyed the views, walked to the local town, and had more than enough room for all of us to enjoy ourselves in comfort.
Well equipped kitchen and house with an experience that won’t be paralleled by any other trip. I’m coming back to rent for a week for sure! Thanks for everything Adam-
The house and views are majestic!

Beautiful, authentic Mallorquín family home with spectacular views!
We are a group of 9 friends that try to meet once a year for a few days of hiking, biking, cooking and relaxation. Ca S'Escultor could not have been more perfect for us! The house is a beautiful and obviously very loved family villa set on a picturesque plot overlooking the town of Valldemossa. It offers everything you could possible need to enjoy a pleasurable and easy stay in one of the most beautiful areas of the island. From the ample and charming terraces to the games area above the house, the extremely well-stocked kitchen and the lovely, tasteful décor throughout, every space invites you to stay awhile and take in the full experience. The beds are extremely comfortable, the rooms all relatively equal in size and amenities, and the house seems to be designed to allow people to come together easily, yet have no trouble finding a bit of personal space when needed. This is a home for any season and any weather. You can hike straight out of the front door and up into the mountains, or wander just a few minutes into the town, which is equally charming and picturesque.
Best of all, Adam is a wonderful, warm and charming host that instantly puts you at ease and makes you feel like family. His communication is impeccable and he truly goes above and beyond to offer you anything you might desire during your stay. We could not have dreamed of such a wonderful experience and are already planning our next visit! Thank you again for everything, Adam!

I wish I could have given 6 stars. Adam was an amazingly friendly host and went out of his way to make us feel welcome and help us orient around the island.
The house was exactly as described and better. The pool area is a real highlight with a great outdoor Hi-Fi system and beautiful evening lighting.
Obviously the main attraction is the view on Valdemosa from every angle of the property. You can swim in the pool and look atop the beautiful hillside village.
The rooms where perfectly cleaned and maintained. Every room has an AC and a lot of personal charm. Especially the living room area is very nice.
Thanks Adam for the SUPER time and maybe until next year. All the best.

We really enjoyed our stay at the villa. It has all the facilities to enjoy a holiday. The pool is a lot larger than in the photos. The villa has two barbeques that you can use and I highly recommend you use a barbeque when staying here. The village Valldemossa it about 10min walk and we enjoyed walking to the village center every morning to pick up breakfast. The villa is clean and has a Spanish feeling when walking around the premises.
The villa has an amazing view during the day but also by night, which means you can sit back and relax every moment when staying here. Our host Adam was happy to help at any moment. We had a great stay and it was the perfect location to enjoy a well-deserved family holiday.
In my honest opinon, the location is great, the price the great and the villa is great, we really enjoyed our stay and I highly recommend staying here.
When I return to Mallorca I would rent this Villa again.

Everything regarding our stay in our host Adam's house overlooking beautiful and peaceful Valldemossa has been wonderful!
The house is amazing and very well equipped: Located in a quiet and picturesque gated hillside area overlooking beautiful Valldemossa. Around the house are plateaus where olives and lemons are growing, goats are grazing there are peaceful gardens with hammocks in both the shade and sun.
Right next to the house is a wonderful pool with various deck chair options (sun, shade, town view etc). Right next to the pool there's a big gas grill and a well cooled draught beer station (San Miguel). On the plateau above the pool there's a petanque playing field, a ping pong table and a pool table. Our boys (10, 12 and 13) never had a dull moment – and we actually had a hard time leaving the property since we had such a wonderful time.
The house is a beautiful traditional house with thick walls lying in the shade from trees. This means that it is not too warm even when you don't use the air condition and leave the doors open - we only used the aircondition once (but it's there). Also the house is well equipped.
Adam our host was wonderful and extremely helpful. From the moment we booked until departure. He guided us, welcomed us and assisted in any circumstances. Once we had a minor technical problem. I called Adam who answered right away and guided me on how to fix it. It only took one minute but Adam had told me he'd be there to help and two minutes after I solved the problem he came to the house, short of breath and very ready to help. We really loved Adam!

Man Cave-Perfect for adult groups, not children.
A beautiful, well equipped property with stunning views and a fantastic host who has gone to exceptional lengths to provide all the amenities a group of four men could ever wish for.
Not for parents of small children though.
The following points are purely to give guidance to others who may be considering booking and did not detract from the fantastic time that we had.
The upper pool table and table tennis area has long since seen its best and the access is via steep stairs and a walk along a rather precarious edge, we could not use these facilities.. The timber barrier alongside the pool which has a considerable drop on the other side, would also be a nightmare for parents of small children.

Everything you want, and more....
Our family had a wonderful holiday at this Villa. The setting, on a mountainside with views across the valley to Valldemossa was stunning, and the villa itself had everything you needed to relax and enjoy as a home away from home. The pool is big enough to swim in, not just plunge, and the insides of the villa are spacious and very well equipped. Having read reviews regarding the climb to the villa we were expecting something far more severe than the reality: yes it's steep, but nothing that an experience driver couldn't manage, although I'd advise staying in first gear.
Adam is an excellent host, very helpful and on-hand if required, but not interfering so you are left in peace generally. We recommend the boat trip which Adam offers, and we should also mention that when one of our party became incapacitated due to a back problem Adam gave all the help he could to arrange a doctors visit and ensure the drama did not become a crisis.
Our group consisted of two parents, plus three grown up teens/young adults and the venue suited our needs perfectly. Thoroughly recommended if you want a slice of paradise with fresh lemons on the trees, a sound system in the garden, wifi that works, and San Miguel on tap!

Very beautiful and charming home from home that has everything you could want
WOW! This villa caters for your every need both inside and outside. We cant recommend it enough. Adam has ensured that your stay is more than comfortable, hassle free and very relaxing. Firstly, Adam meets you and personally escorts you to the villa and gives you a tour- not every host will do this! Yes- there is an impressive hill up to the villa that initially we needed help to drive up.. but adam actually let me try it in his car while he drove ours up (plenty of laughs along the way) then personally made sure i could manage it in ours again- which was no problem once you knew what to expect. Other reviews mention the hill... yes it is steep, but if you want stunning views you need to climb a hill!!! And the views from this villa are STUNNING and more than worth it! We walked down and up the hill everyday with no issues-10min walk to/from the village with shopping bags.. no problem!!. Would i want to push a buggy up... maybe not.. but it shouldnt be a deal breaker as u can drive down and park for free in Hotel Valldemossa and stroll into town.
This villa is just as it says on the description; beautiful, rustic and extremely comfortable. All basic supplies are provided e.g. cooking oils, herbs, cleaning products. Theres also every possible drink (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) u could want for u inside and outside for a very reasonable price so you'll want for nothing. You are encouraged to enjoy the home as if it was your own. Outside is simply charming. Poppy the cat patrolling the pool, fresh flowers, lemons, oranges and olives surrounding you, fantastic sound and lighting systems to entertain you and allow u to sit out at night, plenty of loungers and seating areas to chat and chill. We felt like we were staying in an all inclusive 5 star resort!!!!
I've already passed details of this villa on to friends and family and definitely will be back. I wouldn't hesitate returning with my children as its also very secure.... you just have to note that the pool isnt fenced off as is the case in say french and american properties- but if you bring kids here they wont be bored...they can explore the grounds, play with Poppy, play basketball, table tennis, board and computer games (great free wifi), and watch "smart" 55inch TVs throughout the villa.
Thank you Adam for making us feel so welcome and allowing us to experience a slice of mallorcan living in such a stunning part of the island, in such a stunning property.
Book it!!!

Amazing place and service
We booked this place on the reviews we had read, everything was true and accurate . It is a beautiful relaxing place and Adam is the most amazing host and special person. We were greated and shown around the villa on arrival. Adam is very laidback and you instantly feel relaxed. We arrived at night to a beautifully lit garden and pool and candles flickering in the villa. We were all very excited and the kids aged 11, 14, 17yrs loved staying here. Special touches like the games, guitars , wii, dvd, CD, beer and music by the pool , fresh lemons and oranges in the garden, to mention a few all made to an easy relaxing holiday. We went out on the boat, this was an exceptional day. The boat is big and comfortable. Plenty of cover, toilet , fresh fruit and drinks. Adam was full of fun and the kids loved swimming and paddle boarding. Nothing was too much trouble. The area is close to the village. We did have a car which was beneficial for visiting other beautiful areas such as Soller. We would deffinately recommend the villa and Adam and would love to come back. A very special holiday.

Perfect
We have stayed in a lot of villas over the years and I can honestly say this one is by far and away the best we have ever stayed in. Valldemossa along with this accommodation must be one if not the most beautiful places in the world. You can tell Adam has worked in the hospitality sector as he caters for every need.
We 100% recommend this villa.

An amazing Villa in a lovely village with a great host.
My family and I had a lovely stay in the Villa which is absolutely superb and contains everything you are likely to need (and more). The grounds, Pool, and interior are well presented and there is plenty to keep you interested including BBQ facilities, games and even a beer tap. Adam was a fantastic host and went out of his way to make us feel welcome and the boat trip and restaurant suggestions were highlights. Valldemossa is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt villages in the region and has everything you need for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. I would recommend the Villa to anyone and will certainly be back in the future.

Far far exceeding expectations
10/10 would recommend this villa. Adam was amazing and could not have been more accommodating for our large group. He greeted us upon arrival and met us upon departure and was available for questions and recommendations at any time during our stay. He even had arrival gifts for us! In terms of the villa... the photos do not do it justice!! It was absolutely beautifully decorated, had an incredible view of Valldemosa, and was extremely relaxing having as much privacy as this place offered. The water slide, fire pit, san miguel keg, and wine collection were some other perks to just name a few. This was without
a doubt my best homeaway/airbnb experience to date. Our group never wanted to leave, but now we can't wait to come back again!

Wonderful Villa
We had the most wonderful holiday in Adam's Villa. Everything about the Villa is everything you could wish for. The views from the Villa are amazing and the walk to the village of Valldemossa is only 15mins, a lovely village with nice shops, coffee houses and restaurants. It is a steep hill down and a climb back but did this everyday and enjoyed every walk. The villa is equipped to a very high standard with everything you need. The photographs do not do it justice. We will be back. Thank you a Adam for hospitality. We are hoping to see you again.

Relaxed family holiday
Adam is a warm ,friendly and attentive host . The Villa is well set up to enjoy a relaxing break around a large pool with fantastic view of the nearby town and spectacular mountains .Being an older rustic building shaded by trees to beat the summer heat means it can be a little dark downstairs We gave the upper level 2 bedroom area to our children with grandchild and slept in 3rd bedroom.Unfortunately mattress was somewhat uncomfortable and Adam accepted our feedback in good grace along with suggestions regarding improved cleanliness pre arrival for guests as kitchen benches , floors and appliances in particular should have been cleaner .
Be aware that arriving by car is up a pretty steep narrow track ,so much so the taxi driver wouldn’t deliver our kids late at night from Palma airport requiring a walk up ....not ideal with a sleepy toddler . . We were without a car and had chosen the property based on Google maps but that doesn’t indicate the steep walk up and down to the town which can be reached in 30mins albeit a strenuous walk with a stroller but on mostly wide sealed road with less traffic than the main one .Great views come at a cost but the town although touristy has some nice restaurants A bit more attention to the garden around the pool and some potted colour would improve ones admiration of impressive stone wall landscaping also .

A masterclass in hospitality!
Wow! Previous reviews are spot on... photographs do not do this fabulous property justice, and there are no words to describe Adam's incredible hospitality. His English is fluent, and he was massively responsive to any queries we had both before and during our stay. Every detail had been thought of, and it was like staying with a family friend in his beautiful home.
The house itself is by far the best equipped one we have ever stayed in, and, as a cook, I was delighted to find all manner of huge pots, pans and dishes to play with! There is a treasure trove of books and games (Adam even purchased a backgammon set for us to use, when I asked if there was one available), along with an electric keyboard and 2 guitars, which thrilled my musical nephews when they came to visit. The outside area is vast, with masses of seating. Even when the 5 of us were joined by my sister's family for the day, we were still spoilt for space.
The undoubted highlight of the holiday was our day on Adam's boat (to our great surprise, a much larger vessel than on the photos) and a trip to Sa Foradada for lunch, where Adam filled us in on fascinating stories of smugglers, and took us swimming, snorkelling and even paddle boarding.
I had been slightly worried about the road up to the house, but it was not nearly as bad as I had thought. Steep, but no drop offs or cliff edges to worry about, and it definitely became routine after the first go. We walked into Valldemosa a few times, but it is really easy to drive back down to the Valldemosa Hotel and then walk the 2 or 3 minutes from there (handy if you just want to do a quick bread run in the morning). The supermarket in the town is well stocked, but we did a big shop at Carrefour in Palma on the way, which was great - especially for meat and fish. There is loads of fridge and freezer space, so it is worth stocking up. Other than this, there is a good Eroski in Soller, which is a very easy drive away.
Thank you so much Adam, for the most amazing holiday. We look forward to returning one day soon. Your future guests are in for a treat!

Beautiful, interesting and first class service.
Previous reviewers are absolutely correct. Ca s'ecultor is in a magical location and Mathias is an outstanding host. He has thought of everything. The house is full of books, CDs, DVDs, and TVs with all the channels you might want. There is a very healthy stock of drinks, oils, dressings, and spices; even cigars and a pipe! There are guitars and a piano, a host of games and magazines, a pool and table tennis table as well as a boules area. It really is a fascinating place to stay. You will want for nothing! The San Miguel tap is a fabulous touch; beautifully chilled and the real thing. Lots of lemons and wild herbs in the garden also.
Yes the drive up from the road is not for the nervous driver, nor should it be attempted in an underpowered, fully loaded, car. We had a diesel Qashqai and it coped well. First gear and high revs are the order of the day. After a couple of trips it becomes routine. It is certainly worth the effort; the views are sublime.
Any downsides? None whatsoever; we would return without hesitation. If I had small children (toddlers) I might think twice because they would need very, very close supervision. Other than that I would not hesitate to recommend this house wholeheartedly to anyone. Moltis gracis Mathias!

Lovely property, spectacular views, exceptional host
We just spent two weeks in this lovely villa with it's spectacular views over the mountains, truly one of the best vistas we've had over our years visiting Mallorca. The villa is at the top of a very steep hill which takes a bit of getting used to so if hiring a car, it's worth bearing that in mind (doesn't need a 4x4, just something more than a little panda or punto, automatic would be ideal). It is definitely worth it when you get to the top though! The town of Valldemossa is really pretty and we walked in for breakfast every morning (about 15 mins). Even thought it's a big villa, it has a real cosiness to it. It has so many different spaces to chill out in, inside and out and the pool area is again, one of the best we've come across - plenty of chairs and loungers, BBQs, beer tap, hammocks. We didn't have great weather the first week but the villa is equipped with everything you could possibly need - full of books, games, DVDs etc, speakers, cables to hook iPad to TV, the list goes on! Adam has thought of everything. He is an exceptional host and really made the stay that extra bit special for us. He was always on hand and went above and beyond. He really has made the villa a home from home and we would love to come back. Thank you Adam, you're a star!.

Amazing location, fantastic house and great host
The villa is located in the most amazing location with a fantastic view of the mountains and the village of Valdemossa. There are great spots everywhere to have a drink with amazing views, and even hammocks scattered around the place so you can do it in the most relaxed way! Valdemossa, which is beautiful and has most of what you need (supermarkets, cafes, ice cream, etc), is only 5 minutes away by car or a steep 15' walk.
The house is much nicer than what you see in the pictures. It's very spacious, very well equipped, warm and very nicely decorated. It feels like someone's house, not a rental, but not so much so to make you uncomfortable. There is everything you need, and more, with great details such as blankets in every sofa, pool towels, the basics for the kitchen (salt, oil, etc) and drinks and wine with an honesty 'box'.
Adam is very nice and knowledgeable and communication with him was great, both before and during our stay.
The drive to the house is a very steep hill. We had trouble the first time we did it but once you know what you are doing, it's absolutely fine. I just wouldn't rent a car with a tiny engine (no need for a 4/4 though at all). The other thing to keep in mind is that if you have young children you will have to keep an eye on them because of the pool and the stairs in the house. But again it wasn't a problem at all for us, and our 2 year old absolutely adore the place.
We really hope we can come back. Thanks Adam!
