We loved our stay at the Leland House! Perfect location in the heart of Durango. Free parking. Excellent communication before and during our stay. Really helpful staff helped troubleshoot problems with TV immediately. Comfortable room albeit a little small. Lots of amenities and everything worked great. We'll stay here again the next time we are in Durango.

Perfect location and a great place to stay. Comfortable bed, pillows, good communication before arrival, easy checkin and checkout, doors use a code to unlock so no key to carry around, free drink wooden coin waiting in the room for the place next door with outdoor seating and live music the night we were there.

Leland House is a lovely place to stay right in the heart of Durango. Our hosts communicated early and often the day of our arrival. Check im and check out was seamless. There is easy parking right around the back. They are pet friendly too. Our room was comfortable and clean. There was cool water in the fridge waiting for us. Every need was considered includung dishes and bathroom amenities. This is also very walkable to all parts of Durango. Wonderful overall experience!

Alec was wonderful. Rooms small but everything very cleverly considered to make the most of space and be as charming and comfortable as possible. Lovely ambience, service and location. Loved Lola’s next door and welcoming bartender and ease of access. So much better than a chain and the area is very walkable with lots of shopping and dining options. Will visit again with pleasure.

Not a bad place to stay and conveniently located to all downtown attractions. Mattress was very stiff for my taste, and had a hard time sleeping. Noises travel through the room very easily, but to be expected from a place this old. Bathroom was. Little small as well, but useable.

The Leland House is a historic old inn located in downtown Durango, only a block off Main. Parking is right behind the building. The area is safe and has lots of restaurants, bars, shops and the train depot within a five minute walk. Having stayed there twice, we missed the included breakfast that is no longer offered. The room we stayed in was a bit small. Next time we will opt for a larger one. All in all it is a nice, relaxing place to stay with a hard to beat location.

Guests should be notified if their room is located upstairs and that there’s no elevator. Second sheets be clean and not full of hair. Third one should find a bug crawling on their pillow. Will not book here again.

I spent 1 week in Durango, CO, and had the chance to stay in 3 different hotels in the same location.
Among all of them, Leland House was, by far, the best experience.
The customer service was amazing, very responsive and made everything possible for us to have the best experience during our stay.
They have free bike rentals for their guests, the room is modern and cozy, there’s AC, fan, and fridge in the bedroom.
Location is great, walking distance to the best restaurants in town and they provide free self parking.
If we ever return to Durango, we will definitely stay at Leland’s again!

Communication and location of property was great, walkable. Loved Lolas diner next to it, and fridge in the room. And next to Steam works brewery. Check in and check out suoer easy. Parking lot easy to find.
As someone with bad back the bed was not comfortable; made sleep difficult. This is a common complaint for most hotels I stay at.
Floors were super squeaky; if me or my husband got up at night to bathroom would wake each other up. AC worked... but rooms were still hot and stuffy. Could hear my neighbors tv even though it wasnt very loud.
For the price I would maybe consider staying else where. I was super impressed with the Rochester across the street or Strater.
Love the solar panel theme; and the staff were super nice; for comfort this perhaps wasnt a win for me.
I hate to say that I wanted to love this place so much.

Easy to find. Parking onsite. Great, walkable location in Durango near shops and restaurants. We enjoyed Lola's next door with our dog for drinks and dinner. Excellent and prompt communication before and during our stay. Owner is very nice and helpful. We reserved a dog friendly king studio. The room was small but more than adequate. Many dog friendly amenities like bowls, a dog bed, and dog sheet were in the room. I hate to mention any complaints but the room was a tad warm. There wasn't air conditioning, only heat. But the room cooled down in the evening by use of the ceiling fan and opening a window. We would definitely stay here again.

This is one of the older buildings in Durango that was renovated into a small hotel and has kept much of its original bones including the wood floors and brick walls. It is perfect, comfortable, and beautiful. It is in the downtown area so walking distance to the train and restaurants. In fact the owners of the hotel have a small restaurant next door that has great food. If you decide to take some time in Durango, I recommend the Leland House highly and would return without hesitation.
