Renovation

Stayed in a deluxe king, park facing with club access. The communal areas including bar, pool, restaurant and gym were great. These areas were all finished to a high end. The rooms were more outdated in comparison However the beds were comfortable and were of a good size. Staff were all attentive and welcoming.

The rooms were a little more outdated however comfortable. For a 5* there should have been a better selection of toiletries (1 bar of soap, I shampoo and 1 gel only. No hairdryer etc). I booked 24 hours prior to stay and found it very difficult to communicate with hotel to arrange driver. I needed to phone the US to be put through to Zimbabwe as emails and booking.com communication can take upto 72hours. I paid for club (extra $60 a night) however the club areas are under renovation. The only additional benefits were 20% discount on spa (which had no availability), and a 6-8pm happy hours which was 1 snack and drinks. The drinks are very good value and subsequently would have been better value to not have paid a club room Overall for $500 a night this felt very overpriced.

The hotel is busy undergoing a revamp. Lots of noise & dust. Airconditioning in the room not working. An overall bad experiece for the money paid.
