The King Size room I booked was well appointed and modern. Everything was very clean. Some parts of the hotel are being updated so the stairway seemed to have paint on it tho the corridors were fine. The pool is currently not in use. It’s small but adequate. The area it was in looked fine. The reception and staff were was well done. The restaurant opens in about six weeks approx. Car park well marked. There is no lift but the staff took my heavier bag up for me.

Extremely comfortable beds. Bathroom good. However, no refrigerator in the room and the hotel was undergoing renovations.

First impression driving was bad. It was apparently under renovation in areas but just seemed very run down generally. Our room had been completed but was full of construction fine white dust, thick in some places, like it just hadn’t been cleaned. Aside from that though, it needed a thorough clean e.g toilet and shower were pretty gross. The bed had no duvet covers, just a sheet on it. The pool was green and out of order. Little things also put me off, e.g the windows and slider door weren’t locked. If I hadn’t checked them we might’ve not realised and the room would not have been secure. Smoke detector looked like had been removed while painting ceilings and not put back, that concerned me having a small child. The fridge was so noisy we had to turn it off so we could sleep. Overall I was pretty disappointed. If it wasn’t already early evening when we arrived I would’ve bailed and looked for an alternative. Rookie mistake I saw 10/10 rating but was only 1 review and I didn’t look at the reviews when booking. There are so many options in rotorua, I’d look elsewhere.

It is renovated and very clean incl. very friendly owner.
