It seemed like every person thay worked here was in an incredibly bad mood. The room we were in was right off the lobby. People were in an out all night long. Then the walkway around the outside of the boat had guests or bar patrons walking by and talking all night long and slamming the lobby door. And to top it off, and no this isn't reqlly their fault, there were sea lions that barked all night long. Absolutely the worst experience.

What an amazing experience to sleep on a paddle steamer. I could imagine myself being on board as it used to ply the waters from Sacramento to san Fransisco. I can recommend this one for anyone wishing a great experience

The comfort of the room is where it is lacking such as the bed feels like sleeping on a bed spring and the door to the room had a gap about a half inch thick on the top allowing a draft from the water to blast the bed while we slept. The service is awesome though, completely made the stay debatable as to whether or not we return.

Staff kindly offered us a room change to the floor where the lobby is. We were very grateful. Was a cool place to stay on the water. Rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. Old town Sacramento was a cute, fun town to explore just outside the boat/hotel.

We've stayed at the Delta King Riverboat Hotel over 60 times since the mid-90's and it's always been very nice. Most rooms are small, but it's an old Riverboat and rooms were small back in the day. Over the years we have had larger rooms, but small is fine with us for a few nights. All staff have always been friendly and helpful. Oh yes, since the boat is floating on the Sacramento River it does move and tilt somewhat, even though it's fully connected to the pier. There always seems to be enough hot water, but at times the pressure is low in the shower. Not so much that you can't get a nice shower each day.

Chemical cleaning smell throughout the property so strong I had to wrap my face in a towel to be able to sleep. Windows don’t open, so no way to air out the room. The city side rooms are at the sidewalk level, so little privacy. Bathroom walls with what appears to be blood and mold. Rooms are tiny. The photos in their listing are not accurate. The whole place is the riverboat. There is not a separate hotel. I have photos and the app isn’t letting me upload them. I offered to send them to management and received no response. The front desk staff was very nice and allowed me to cancel my second night of the reservation with no hassle.

Best stay ever. Riverview room in Old Sacramento can't be beat. Will definitely return again!

Fun place to stay for the history. The area gets quite busy at night which is also nice. Be prepared some noise.

Always wanted to stay there. Location is awesome

The property itself is great. Did not realize it was a boat when made the reservation, but was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The biggest pain was parking, there was a public ramp just down the street, but it was not cheap. The area right around the boat was Old Sacramento, it was not the cleanest area and I am not sure how safe it would be at night. There were plenty of choices to eat and shop.

This hotel was so easy to get to off the freeway. The parking was a little bit of a surprise. It is only valet parking because the parking is off site in a safe parking garage. Rooms were small but so historic to the ship. Which only added to its charm. Very, very clean and staff were so helpful and kind. Restaurant on ship is top notch! Views were incredible. Would stay again and again.

The Delta King itself was a lovely stay. Renovated Historic Boat well kept. My room was great, liked the antique hardware, it was small but all I needed. The staff were all very kind, helpful and professional. The Bar and restaurant was very good. Morning coffee outside on deck was beautiful with the sunrise. Enjoy the atmosphere early because Old Town Sacramento gets busy with tourist. The vibe is a bit grungy and reminded me of bourbon street in New Orleans. Valet could use an extra person.

The bed linen is worn and scratchy while the bed mattress unusually lumpy - none of which has to do with the historical nature of the property. Surrounding area can be a bit noisy but nothing to get overly concerned about - it died down by 10 pm. Complimentary drink was welcomed and the vessel itself well situated by Old Sacramento. Staff was friendly and welcoming.
