Alta Traful wastes the opportunity it has to provide guests with an experience as unique as the lake it is situated upon. The room was basic and bathroom (tiny sized) had taps either leaking or falling of. Parking is not enforced so vehicles were parked irregularly making it difficult to park our own — I took a photo & asked reception to get the truck moved but she did nothing. I would recommend staying at the cabanas located next to it (towards the Village) coz it’s absolutely not worth the price.

A modern comfortable hotel built on the side of a hill with mountain and lake views.
The rooms are a good size with comfortable beds.
The breakfast is excellent, the restaurant is very good and reasonable but like most places in Argentina they don't open till 8pm. There is a take away option for lunch.
The parking can be a problem, it is up a steep gradient and the car park is gravel, this also gives problems taking luggage into the hotel.
My biggest complaint though that there is no outdoor seating anywhere to just sit and chill, including in the rooms where there is a nice balcony but nothing to sit on.

This is an amazing hotel - excellent in every way including food, food service and beverage service - the location is a bit remote but that adds to the charm and value of the hotel - make a detour of RN 40 and spend at least 2 nights!
