Fantastic staff, very accommodating. Hotel is very welcoming and inviting. It's a great second home. The grounds are so meticulously maintained and the health club and other accommodations are first rate. A 5 star plus experience.

I had always heard about the Catskills, but had never been before now. Found the Shandaken Inn on an internet search, and wasn't sure if it would be all it seemed to be. it was even better! The property was gorgeous, surrounded by inviting peaks; a large open field, with a swimming pool at one end and several independent cottages at the other, offered a great place for our dog and us to amble; a short nature trail, well maintained, connected to an old railroad bed that was nice to stroll. The main building was beautiful and well maintained, and the interiors of our room and the Inn were rustic without being corny, everything well appointed. The Nevele Suite, was perfect. Entry into a small sitting room with a sofa that converts to a bed (didn't use it) as well as a cart with an electric kettle for tea (beautiful wooden tray, labeled with multiple teas) and a French Press for coffee. The main room consisted of a roomy bedroom with a very comfortable King bed and an open floor plan offered another brighter, bigger sitting area, with a gas fireplace.(easy to operate, We have never stayed a m ore dog friendly place than this-dog towel, dog treats, bowls, dog coverlet for bed and furniture-perfect!Everything we even THOUGHT we might need was available in the room. Katie and Raphael, are top notch professionals and provided perfect service and ready conversation about the area (Raphael was born and raised in the area and could recommend anything. A perfect oasis.

Wonderful get away in the Catskills. The hotel established in 1928 had everything we wanted and more. Beautiful grounds, great views and super friendly people helping in all settings. We felt like family ( in a wonderful way).

We love staying at The Shandaken Inn. We have stayed at the Inn several times and consider it our home away from home in the Catskills. The rooms are comfy and beautiful. The food is delicious and the atmosphere couldn’t be better. I recommend it highly.

The pool was really nice and although the restaurant was closed (Monday and Tuesday nights) they gave us good recommendations for nearby dining which was excellent. The Inn is very clean. Our room was very small but the linens and pillows were fabulous as well as the soaps, etc in the bathroom. The walls are thin though, we could hear people in the rooms next door and in the hallway. The staff was very friendly and the breakfasts were very good. Went for dinner on our last night which was burger night at the restaurant. Although tables were available the hostess didn’t want to seat us 20 minutes earlier than our reservation and the wait staff was a little slower than we expected. The food and drinks were fabulous though and made up for it. The s’mores availability was a nice touch for the outdoor fireplaces and all the other guests were very nice and enjoyed the atmosphere as well. Good stay in general, we had a nice time.

Really nice property. The room was large we booked with a small couch on the side. The pool was nice and the complentry breakfast is a plus. Just wish the restaurant was open on Mondays and Tuesdays

The place was warm, welcoming, cozy, clean, private, quiet and lovely. Upscale but affordable. I would recommend they have coffee available starting at 6am as there was no coffee in the rooms and the included, wonderful breakfast, started at 8am.

We had a great stay at Shandaken Inn. The location is beautiful, the Inn is comfortable, all amenities were as advertised, the staff was super friendly and we enjoyed the restaurant and bar. We hope to return for a longer visit or with friends.
