Check in staff were abrupt and nonchalant. We were refused breakfast service as a couple of minutes after 10am no details of breakfast times in room. Nor were we told times at check in. I needed a key to use the room safe. Staff told me to come down and collect from reception instead of getting it bought up to me. If you state you are a 4* hotel then the staff need to act like it.

A wonderful stay at a charming hotel. Brilliant location, lovely rooms, fab breakfasts that set you up for the day & friendly, helpful staff. Fab bar just around the corner T'Kroegstje, carrefour shop over the road & Yuri's house opposite!

Second visit to Golden Tulip , would certainly come again. Easy walking into centre and comfortable beds after a days sightseeing. Great that you can exchange room service for free drinks in the bar but you can still request any extras you need.

Check-in clerk behaved as if I was inconveniencing her when I checked the in. That just turned me off.
The rooms were clean but I didn’t feel it was 4-star property.
Location wise it was convenient to the main square and near a local bus stop with frequent service to the train station

Beautiful hotel with lovely staff. Breakfast was good for the price. Really enjoyed my time here. Only thing that could be said is that there was no efficient air con, so the room got quite warm. Thank you for a lovely stay

Overall it was an acceptable place. However, the room allocated to me felt like a storage bedroom with parts of a bedframe left in the room and many chairs all stored around a table. I thought I was getting a double bed but it was two single beds pushed together and they both kept coming apart when I slept on the bed.
When I was leaving, the other rooms on the same floor had the doors open. These rooms looked like decent hotel rooms.
I was put in the worst room on that floor in comparison to these other rooms.

The hotel is not central and away from the town atmosphere. We paid for parking and didn't receive a permit sticker because our receptionist was rude and abrupt. Intending to return to Bruges for Christmas markets and will stay in a confirmed 4 star in town not this offering of a "4" star.

The reception staff were very helpful during my stay. Both the night receptionist on 6/23 and the morning receptionist on 6/24 were extremely helpful and kind in answering my questions and giving information about the area.
