Absolutely lovely small hotel directly on Lake Como in Varenna. We loved our small but very well equipped room and bathroom. Loved the “ rain shower”. Nice balcony with beautiful views.

The staff was a pleasure. The hotel is beautiful, especially the pool area. The rooms are a little small, but very nice. Breakfast was delicious!

While the property is beautiful the rooms are not $700 per night worthy. They are barren, bathrooms very tiny, air conditioning barely worked. The balcony was wonderful however we've started at other properties with balconies with views and have spent considerably less, even in high demand areas.

Beautiful hotel in Varenna. View from the property is amazing. Breakfast was excellent. Staff is friendly. Rooms are small but offer all the amenities you might need. Several restaurants are close by as well as a church and a bakery.

We loved this Hotel bc it was right in the middle of the piazza. So many fabulous bistros, cafes and restaurants. The house cleaners were great as was the staff in general.

This is a gorgeous place to stay with beautiful views of Lake Como. The service and quality is impeccable. Fabulous breakfast and all the staff are so helpful. It’s in a great location in Piazza san Giorgio. Close to everything and many restaurants.

If you plan for your staying in Varenna to become a memorable experience then look no further than the Royal Victoria Hotel! We Indulge in late afternoon drinks/cocktails at the bar downstairs looking over at the beautiful lake in front of us. Service and attention to customers at this hotel makes you feel like royalty!

Everything about our stay was amazing!!! From the friendly staff, our beautiful room, the delicious breakfast, and of course the VIEW!!! The location is so perfect, simply breathtaking and so easy to get to/from the train and the ferry. Highly recommend taking advantage of the Botanic Garden in the sister property next door, it’s incredible!

Awful experience staying in this hotel. It’s a fabulous location and beautiful building but that’s where it ends. The room was small and we were above the kitchen so the room smelt of burnt cooking oil. We did make the staff aware but they didn’t offer to move us and were really unhelpful. They made out they had no idea of the problem!! But we found other complaints about the same issue from other travellers and also the porter mentioned they had issues with smell in these rooms.

The staff was exceptional in their service and friendliness.
We stayed in lake front room (112) and it had a spectacular view and large balcony to enjoy it on. Although it was a bit small by American standards, it worked just fine.

Great location & very nice rooms. Front desk staff was not cooperative & forgot to follow thru on several items. Disappointed they were not willing to upgrade us to lake view. Breakfast is incredible with both selection & quality.
