No place to eat.

We stayed within the main lodge, in a hot tub suite. All of the rooms have balconies toward the outdoor pool, which was noisy and offered no privacy. The suite had a nice kitchen area but, otherwise, the space was very outdated and well-used. The bed mattress needs replacing - we both rolled toward the middle all night. Our room had a coffee maker but no coffee. We were told that complementary coffee would be available at the main lodge but it was out of order. The restaurant was closed both nights of our stay. We chose Caribou due to its proximity to the Superior Hiking Trail, which was great! BTW, the "shuttle" mentioned as a service is only for winter shuttles to the adjacent ski hills and not to the hiking trails.

Carpets were filthy in the stair/halls. No elevator. Nice restaurant and sleeping areas. Spendy for what you get-our lodge was so small we couldn’t hardly fit our suitcases on the floor. Great location if skiing

We had a slight misunderstanding at the front desk upon check in. Once we got the issue figured out, rather than moving past it, the front desk employee began an unprofessional and incredibly rude rant at how it was my fault that it took so long. All the while she was trying to have two conversations on the phone with a customer and another person. I completely understand if someone is overwhelmed that it may get a little tense but it was completely uncalled for. The rest of the lodge staff were incredibly helpful and pleasant! A special thanks to our morning front desk employee. She was incredibly sweet. The rooms could’ve been cleaner however. There was hair and just general dust everywhere.

Nice spot on the mountain, I like Lutsen mountain area, and that's one of the best places around.
