Amazing experience, the hotel staff were lovely and welcoming. The hotel is set in a prime position and has a lovely atmosphere. We stayed for two nights for my husband to recover from a big operation , we’re so glad we did 😊

We arrived early (approx 12:00) and obviously understood that we would not be able to get the room key at this point but to complete check-in formalities.
We were told to come back in about 1.5-2 hours and we would be able to get room key.
We arrived back at 14:30 to be told the room was still not ready and were made to sit in the lobby until 15:00 when I was told the room was still not ready but as it was check in time a different room would be allocated.
The staff were rude and unhelpful and could have allocated a different room hours earlier.
An altogether not very nice experience as we just wanted to shower and change before exploring Dussledorf.

Lovely hotel, in a great location, but the pillows are far too soft and all 4 were the same. Why not have different types in the room, so you can choose which one suits?! And the doors were very heavy and loud when falling shut. I am also not a fan of windows between bed and bathroom and glass doors on the toilets. It is not functional, practical or romantic.

Generally it is a good hotel, clean and great design. Unfortunately the staff is overwhelmed on many levels and simple processes are lacking, which does not match a 5* hotel any more. Some examples: after being seated at breakfast and left my belongings and bag at the table in order to get food from the buffet, I came back exactly 3 minutes later to find my bag moved to another place and completely unknown people sitting at my table. This was quite a worrying experience and actually makes the seating service unnecessary.
There is long waiting time for the live cooking (over 15 minutes) and no process to assure the order of purchase (apparently women had to wait for their food even longer, even though the male customer ordered their food after the female customer). I found this a very one-sided, not to say sexist, approach.
Glasses and some dishes were lacking over one hour before closing time and no one refilled.
All in all I will probably not recommend the hotel to my colleagues any more and will get another hotel the next time I visit, service/price ratio was better 2-3 years ago and one had the feeling it was a special place and experience. Unfortunately this is not the case any more.

Been staying here for 10 years for shows. There is a huge rodent problem in the hotel. Management knows but is not concerned about addressing it but covering it up. Truly a health safety hazard.
