I have stayed in MANY hotels over the last 40 years, and I would safely say that the staff here were along the least friendly I’ve encountered.
They didn’t smile, spoke in mono tone, and it felt very robotic. The friendliest person on staff was the elderly custodial gentlemen who greeted us in the evening and asked if we’d checked out the pool. The younger woman working in the continental breakfast was rude and very rushed as she pushed my children out of the way to attend to her duties. A smile goes a long way when you work in hospitality.

The room smelled of wet dog. I’m Allergic to dogs which I reacted to immediately. They could not give us another room and we requested a cancellation. We were being directed to call Expedia to cancel which did make sense since we were at the hotel and they processed a pre-authorization on my credit card. the front reception said she cancelled the room.

There was a damp smell in the room when we arrived, and it stayed throughout. I realized after the kids had fallen asleep that what I smelling was wet dog. Not a pleasant smell.

Nice hotel, great waterslide, housekeeping staff wont make the beds if any of your stuff is on the bed (including a pillow or stuffed animal) which i found odd, and you have to ask for new towels (we stayed 3 nights and only got fresh towels without asking for more on the first night).
