Beautiful hotel property, great location, and the staff were amazing. Giovanni in the bar was superb! Do not miss the bar and front desk staff. Roof top dining was spectacular. Do not pass this hotel up.

Stayed for three nights on vacation. The staff was amazing and accommodating. The breakfast was fabulous complete with live music!
The location was perfect for roaming around Sorrento.

Hotel Continental is in a very good location- close to many of the goings on, yet removed enough for quietness. Our room was large though the shower was small and odd being an enclosable part of the tub (dated). It also did have a balcony which was nice, though the view if the pool and beyond was just okay. The vibe and front desk was a bit stuffy.The decor old money dated. Would we stay here again? Unsure

Very good location, excellent staff and had a very good meal in the rooftop restaurant. Breakfast was quite a feast.
Negatives: there were roadworks taking place all night adjacent to the hotel and during a downpour the patio doors leaked a significant amount of water flooding the room and requiring attendance by the cleaning staff to mop up.

Dated rooms and property showing wear but very convenient location. 3rd party bookings get you the smallest most out of the way rooms for a higher price. Concierge staff was always friendly and helpful. Loved the elevator from the lobby to the beach level - easy walk to the port. Pool area was odd with only 2 ways to enter/exit pool and half of it actually under the restaurant above.

Older hotel with stunning views, so much so that you don’t care that the decor is outdated. Staff was friendly. Perfect stay if need to catch a ferry the next day. Have a drink at the rooftop bar and enjoy the view.

The hotel has a wonderful location overlooking the Bay of Naples. The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here. The lobby was eclectically styled in bold colors that worked in the space. The rooms were styled in traditional Italian decor, what you would expect to find in an older hotel. The rooftop bar was exceptional. The views were incomparable and the music was great too. We did not dine at the rooftop restaurant but it had the same view. The pool was large and we enjoyed relaxing by it. You could order drinks at the pool. I’m not sure of the procedure for placing an order since waiters never asked me if I wanted anything. So after my second day at the pool I went inside and ordered a drink and they brought it to me. This hotel was conveniently located to shopping and great restaurants. What disappointed me was their selection of body wash and shampoo ( no separate conditioner) They were not in bottles but rather pouches that you have to rip open then how do you prevent the rest from spilling out? It’s not a big deal but if you present yourself as an upscale hotel and charge accordingly, you need to follow through with better soaps, shampoo and conditioners. The only reason I bring it up is this was my 4th hotel I stayed in in Italy this summer and this was by far the most expensive, twice as much per night. So if less expensive hotels provide superior products you notice when the expensive place does not.

The Hotel Continental was just what I was looking for and more. Travelled solo so wanted convenience & safety …. Close to the sea.

The hotel is definitely more traditional in style but does not lack up to date features in room.
The location was perfect for short walk to Piazzo Tasso and also you can take lift from hotel lobby down to the beach/boardwalk which leads you to the port if you are taking any boat tours (10 min walk)
Breakfast has a nice choice of options
The pool area is very nice with such comfortable loungers and fluffy towels in abundance. Try a ‘Sorrento Spritz’ or patio lunch by poolside.

We really had a good trip to Sorrento and this property was perfect for our trip.. The breakfast was a highlight of the trip. Our check in was good. The gym was hot and the lights would go off during the workout and the room was not quite. This is an old property and is in the heart of the city.. do not expect a quite get away. Also, trade for Euros if you are not from the country.. the property will hose you on exchange.. They only take cash for certain things and they kinda take advantage of that when you are there.. Luca was a wonderful help and made our stay worth it. Make sure and do dinner on the terrace.. It is amazing at night..

One of the best hotels I have stayed in, nothing was too much trouble for the staff, short walk into the main shopping centre and the Marina Grand. Excellent sea view across to Vesuvius first class breakfast and the rooftop restaurant was magical- I would highly recommend
