This hotel was decent. Nice looking. But not as fancy as the pics portray. But I would not recommend to stay here. For one reason. When I got there around 5pm to check in. No one was there. I had read this happened to others in a few reviews and I ignored it.
I had been up since 4am, roaming around the sacred valley all day, and I was exhausted and dirty. I called the manager and he said he was out running errands and he be back in 10 minutes. Will those 10 minutes turn into 45 minutes. It become cold real quick. A lady from another hotel across the street even tried calling the manager to see where he was at. When he did arrive, he was with his wife. If you run a hotel; someone always needs to be there … why do both of you have to go to run errands?
It was poor service and if you ask me: it was rude. If this hadn’t happen, I’d of been OK with this place.
The hotel is also not that close to the train station. It’s about a 20 min walk.

If you plan on visiting Machu Picchu, rather than stay in Cusco stay in Ollantaytambo at San Isidro’s House.
The property is located away from the main square which makes it quieter. It is still very walkable to the main square and the restaurants and hiking around the town.
The staff are very helpful and accommodating Would highly recommend this property.

First, there was nobody at 3:30pm when I tried to check in (according to the neighbours, they went outside the town), not really convenient to go around with a heavy backpack. Second, the place was empty but I still got a small inside room that stinked like a sewage all the time. Third, asking 8 soles for a big bottle of water that cost 2 across the street is a bit over the top. The people were nice and the bed was comfortable but I would stay elsewhere.

We stayed 3 nights. Two nights before going to Machu Picchu and 1 night afterwards before going onward to Cusco. We left our main luggage here unlocked (big mistake) and now our Bose headphone was missing. We noticed that night once in Cusco. We were shocked and now have a very bad impression of this guesthouse. The only time our main luggage was out of sight was when we went to MP. Unfortunately, this happen at the start of our trip so it really made us worry about other hotels. Felt like every evening we had to do inventory for everything. Other problems...We let them know when we were coming but for some reason check in was not very welcoming in the late afternoon. Couple times no one at front desk and we could not get into the guest house lobby/ and our room and had to wait around till someone showed up. One night there was no hot water at all in fact barely any water at all. No heat in the rooms. Breakfast was 1 juice 1 coffee and 1 toast using the bread you make sandwiches. Also, charged an expensive ride to a nearby site we should have took a local taxi. Guest house area on weekends is very noisy with parties until early morning. We really debated on writing this review since they are a small establishment but people should be warned. We keep getting the vibe of being treated like stupid tourist. There are lots of places to stay in Ollantaytambo just avoid this one. Hotels.com and any booking site should remove this hotel from their site.

We stay 4 nights in the Wedding Suite and could not have been more satisfied. This is a couple who know hospitality! Both went out of their way to be sure we had everything we needed. The ruins are a 4-5 minute walk. The town is safe to walk and 10 minute walk to the train for Casa San Isidro. We enjoyed several nearby restaurants. In particular the coffee stand at the corner of the market stalls was fantastic. We would stay hear again without hesitation.

Place was cozy. Not much space in the room for bags. However, it was a nice base to explore the sacred valley. There owner was really nice and helped us out with our questions for visiting the neighboring attractions.

Very nice stay. We had the honeymoon king room which had a wonderful view of the ruins and mountains. The shower was of nice size with nice water pressure and hot. We stayed for 2 nights; after the first night stay, they mopped our floors- that’s how clean they keep everything! Only a 4 minute walk to the ruins and a few more to the square. Very safe area, the locals greeted us nicely. Would stay there again
