Keys were left outside the office in a mailbox. Very quaint little motel. The room was small but clean. We walked to downtown (.6miles) and walked around and had dinner.
Nighttime was quiet.

Lot of options to enjoy the stay; ie: hammocks, fire pit, and seating outside. Definitely took advantage of the grill. Very spacious cottage for the stay. The only thing that was not liked or enjoyed were the amount of spider webs with spiders around on the porch. Overall, would definitely come back and stay again.

Easy check-in even though I arrived a little later in the evening. Room was very clean. Bed was comfy with lots of different pillow choices. Liked the fact that they have a mini fridge and microwave in the room. Although I didn't use it this time, they have a bike washing station which is great. Love the retro style chairs outside. Great little place, would recommend and will stay again!

Last year we stayed in one of the efficiencies which we found charming. All retro decor and pleasant. This year we stayed in a "deluxe Queen." Very shabby and tired decor, old Salvation Army rather than Retro Chic. Clean but very basic.

I stayed in the apartment and would stay here again if in the area. It was very clean and quiet. There were two TVs and they were easy to operate. There were two ac units that worked great and they were not too loud. It had full size kitchen appliances and the lighting in all the rooms was nice. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were decent although I brought my own pillow. I walked to downtown several times it is not far if you like to walk. There is a diner and also a barbecue place across the street. I took a couple photos, please ignore kitchen clutter I had already started unpacking when I took the photo.

I am a fan of old school Motor Court Motels like this. The property owner has done a great job of bringing the amenities up to date while keeping the charm of yesteryear.

Raining in the mountains which is great for taking fotos. Comfortable beds, frog, microwave and great BBQ next to motel. Good security. Friendly service, had Sally as hostess and she was great and friendly.

We have stayed at The Sunset Motel before, so I knew that it would be just fine for my weekend trip to Brevard. Neat, clean and convenient. We'll be back!

The hotel was very convenient to most all the activities we were wanting to do. It was very clean and we like the retro feel of our room.

The Sunset Motel lived up to our expectations. The motel was very retro. The room was very clean. And the staff, especially Sally was very nice and accomadating. The outside area in the back with the hammock and tables, chairs and deck were also a nice touch. Will definitely stay here for our next visit to this area. We had a great short stay at the sunset Motel. The recreational area in the back of the property was cool to explore. The a/c worked well and the need was comfortable. Everyone we talked to was very nice and polite. Would definitely come back!

Have always enjoyed our stays here. This time it was short, only one night, but a very comfortable and affordable. Love the decor.

Staff dragging crap around at 6am, and lots of noise from ice maker. And traffic noise is bad.
