Most hotels and resorts require taxi or scooter to get anywhere and the Baan Suthawan was no exception. The rooms and pool were very clean and the staff were delightful despite speaking very little English. Its seems there is not much English spoken anywhere in Khao Lak. Beds in Thailand are extremely hard but our room was nice and the air conditioning worked well. Breakfast was very ordinary and there was no sign of a bar or restaurant.

To go around and to beach ( 1 mile to beach) you need to rent a motorbike or a bicycle , no problem they have both for rent at resonable price. If you like to stay at beach it may be a good thing to bring your own drinks/water with as the vew food stands at beach are a bit pricy , but still O.K.

When we arrived, we got a very warm welcome. And it just got better and better. The staff just made our stay unforgettable. This hotel is the perfect example of great Thai hospitality. They helped us wherever they could. We wanted to take a day trip to the Similan Islands. No problem, our trip was just one phone call away. We got picked up the next morning and the owner of the company was a friend of the lady at the reception. They treated us like VIPs. Rooms are spacious and very clean, Wifi works perfectly.
I can only recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to enjoy a couple of days in Khao Lak and take day tours to the islands around it. I am sure your stay will be unforgettable - just like ours! Thank you so much again!

I stayed with my partner here for five nights and couldn't fault it, we had such an enjoyable experience, the room was well maintained and spacious, we were able to rent a moped to get into the town, the food from the hotel restaurant was absolutely gorgeous and the staff were so welcoming and attentive. We would definitely stay here again wonderful stay

surf spot destination. lovely hotel. worth so much more money for the brand new resort. great atmosphere and the room is very large

we liked the place so much we stayed an extra 2 days to enjoy the beach area. the beach seemed deserted and the weather was great. surf board rentals were close by and the waves were decent.
