My first to the Bahamas was definitely an enjoyable one esp. staying at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar. I was warmly welcomed by Martiqua who went over and beyond to make sure my next trip to the Bahamas, I call G.H Baha Mar home. Check-in was smooth and I didn’t have to wait too long for my luggage to be delivered. The room was clean, aesthetically pleasing and vivid cinematic views night and day. The hotel has many restaurants but Sticks (Asian cuisine) became my fave. Most of the staff was very pleasant and help esp. navigating the hotel. There’s lots to do e.g catch a show, try your luck in the casino, go on a peace walk and shopping. I must say shopping from the high-end brands wasn’t that bad. Also got my make-up done at MAC after spending about $85 (the make-artiste definitely slayed). I know with all the things to do on the property, one might not want to leave but I suggest you explore the island. I ask Martiqua for places to visit during the day and night-life and she was eager to share all her recommendations, thank you again Martiqua. Getting transport from the hotel was easy. I didn’t have to wait long and was given the option of cash or credit card taxi. Like I mentioned before, I’m most definitely returning to the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar on my next visit to the Bahamas and I hope this helps narrows down someone’s choice. From world class golf, Vegas style casino, to its own waterpark, the beautiful waters of the Caribbean, to seven or eight pools, 220+ restaurants, bars, nightclubs, etc. I can’t think of anything else you would need and what this place offers. This is truly a one-of-a-kind resort. My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary there and we’re just blown away. The service is really hit or miss. We stayed in the east tower and the employees at Starbucks could not have been more rude. Other than that, the people were super friendly everywhere we went. I guess the only complaint I might have is the cost. Everything at this place is crazy expensive and there is no getting around it. If you are on a budget, forget about it. If you want to have an amazing time and will not sweat spending $1000 or so over a few days on incidentals, you cannot beat it. My only other recommendation is to never fly Bahamasair. They canceled our flight there and back for no reason.

We had a great time at Grand Hyatt. The waterpark was one of the best activities if you have kids

Fantastic place to stay We didn’t leave the resort we loved it so much!

They don’t seem to have enough staff to keep the grounds up. Also, a lot of the indoor and outdoor furniture is worn. The food is astronomically expensive and so are the drinks. There needs to be an all-inclusive package or at least a package that will include some food and beverages, especially because everyone has to eat.

Check in staff was amazing, wait staff in restaurants did a great job. Casino waitress were slow and rude . Denied us a drink because I took ticket out of machine. I had been playing for over 45 minutes and had just finished if she would have came around earlier she would have seen me playing, or could have checked my prayers card . I won in the casino but the staff at tables and waitress were so rude I would not want to go back.

Hotel was beautiful and the food was great. The restaurant are really expensive though and if you purchase the free breakfast there is only one restaurant that allows it.

It had all wat i needed there

The resort had everything, all the restaurants were excellent, bars were great to unwind in after an afternoon at the beach. The beach was pristine and ocean was bright blue. Perfect summer vacation spot. One recommendation is to make restaurant reservations early.

Amazing resort!

A lovely property. Grounds are beautiful. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Whenever we requested anything, they were happy to help. Problems were always rectified if they were raised, even if a little slow. Credit was applied to our account as a goodwil gesture for any problems we faced. So much to do at the resort. Beautiful beach. Pools could be maintained and managed better, as by the afternoon there was often trash or dirty cups lying around. People tended to hog sunbeds at certain pools. Some trashy hotel guests with no manners. To be expected when there is no minimum stay requirement. Food was expensive and just average. Water park was fantastic. Housekeeping needs to improve. Rooms were regularly not cleaned well. Overall we loved this place and if the creases were ironed out it could be amazing.

Love Baha Mar!!! So much fun!

The hotel have various restaurants, it have 4 towers in total SLS, EAST, WEST, ROSEWOOD. All have amazing choices, water park, lots of pools, lots of spacing in the beach with beach towels. Flamingos, Turtles, Tortoises, Enclosed Birds watching, Pariots in the water park. Nurse Sharks and Sting Rays, any many more fishes to watch. The hotel have everything, but just be ready to pay for many of the amenties dinning

Everything & everyone amazing

Terrible customer service, the power went out on our check-out day, no body able to help bring down our suitcases from 19th floor. We were told once power was restored a representative would call and offer some form of compensation. Needless to say, after almost a week since we left, no one remembers or even interested in helping. Very poor experience. We really loved this place but will have to vote with our wallets and go elsewhere when we come back in the spring

The property itself was amazing. WARNING!!!!! Prior to purchasing a drink of any kind at THE LYNDEN BAR, please ask to see their drink menu that shows their prices. If not, you will be in for a MAJOR shock with the outrageous bill you WILL receive.

The friendliness

Hello - I spent about 5days at the Hyatt and it was amazing staff, food and no stone was left unturned for my kids and my hubs and I. However, I took my father in- law who is 75 and not very mobil and we could not get a wheel chair for him tried so many time and was turned away every time as we were told it wasn’t available. Also the last day there we had a blackout no weather and light my kids has to brush their teeth with bottle water and none of us were able to shower. Plus a bit scary as everything was dark and the rain was heavy couldn’t get much sun light from the outside. Thanks!

For the cost of this resort and the cost of the food and drinks at this resort I would expect much better. Do not stay here if you don't want to be surrounded by toddlers. I have children myself (which were not with us) however the hotel and restaurants are filled with the sounds of screaming children. Everywhere we ate onsite was awful. The food was bland, did not come out as listed on the menu, wasn't hot sometimes and the fruit flies were outrageous. The only place we didn't get swarmed by fruit flies was outside. Being from Florida I understand how and why you get fruit flies so I know cleaning was no where near up to par. Service was also terrible, 20 mins of waiting before someone comes to the table, food takes forever to prepare, drinks take forever this is why pre-tipped isn't always best. They are making their money so they dont care about providing good service. We also had no power for hours which for such a large corporation to own this hotel backup generators should be able to get power up quickly for the entire hotel. The staff were not friendly or helpful most of the time. A staff member let us walk into an employee's only stairwell that wasn't marked, we ended up lost clearly where we weren't supposed to be. Ran into another employee who saw us walking immediately pulled out her phone and then completely ignored us when we asked how we get out. There were very few staff members that were nice and friendly maybe 2 out of 4 days there. Dont waste your $.
