My experience with my wife was bad. Staff are not friendly and information's requested was reluctantly given. I remember asking about parking provision and had to be fighting with the machine out side after being sent several times only for the receptionist to tell me that I can pay for the parking in the office.

In the middle of nowhere. Absolutly zero restaurants or other.
Hotel food/bar very sparse.
Breakfast ok
Got a migrane during stay and was not allowed a headache-pill - had to go by taxi puking to nearby town to get pills :(
Staff was just sitting in reception / they could have made sandwiches or something?? Lots of hungry guests were only offered vacuum-prepacked triangle shaped really bad sandwiches (expensive) as food in the evening.
Avoid this location!

Stay was comfortable, but the fact that there’s no room service and kicthen was closed by 19:00 when we arrived was a bit disappointed. Charging €12 for parking is a bit greedy.

Very new and spacious hotel rooms, I would recommend this hotel, especially for the price. Free breakfast was also great.

We stayed one night on our return trip home after a summer holiday in Italy. The hotel is new and well furnished and fitted out. The reception staff were excellent.
The hotel is out of the town centre so it was disappointing to find that the hotel restaurant only serves breakfasts. That was unclear when we booked. It was also disappointing that this new hotel did not have EV chargers in the car park. Two minuses against what is otherwise a great hotel

Breakfast facilities too small for the amount of guests. On sunday there was no table free for breakfast.
Staff knocks on your door already at 8 am to "clean the room".
Hotel is situated in a business zone, so nothing to do in the near environment.
It was hard to find restaurants in Krefeld and there were no suggestions from te hotel.

I was leary choosing here because of few bad reviews. But I'm glad I did. What people need to remember is this is a Holiday Inn and not a five-star Resort. The breakfast selections were that of a common Europe breakfast, not an American breakfast. The staff spoke English and we're always so happy to help if you need anything. There's absolutely nothing within walking distance and you may have a little trouble getting any Uber here depending on the length of the trip. It's a small quiet city so Uber isn't a big thing there. Highly recommend using a rental if you stay here.

Therefore when you leave and take your key, no lights are accidentally left on….energy saving! The breakfast bar was fresh and had lots of variety. Everything was comfortable except that we couldn’t turn on the air because it was too cold outside (part of the smart building), but the staff helped us open a window. All good!

It was good overall but the morning breakfast rush is something to avoid; make sure you don't go down to the lobby before 9.15am, otherwise you are in for a surprise :)
