It was a lovely stay, ideal location near the Mercado. I'm dure it can be noise in the peak of summer, but we had great weather this November!

We loved everything about this hotel from the friendly greetings at the front desk and the lovely rooms overlooking the tree lined promenade to the delicious breakfasts each morning. This hotel is perfectly located to walk to the charming center of town, along the harbor and beaches and to catch the ferry to the white sand beaches of Tróia. All staff from the cleaners to the front desk were very friendly and did and excellent job of welcoming us! Anna at the front desk is a Setubal treasure. With her warm personality, she shared a wealth of knowledge and great suggestions about Setubal, her home town, and the local area. We would never have known to visit the former military 7ª Bataria de costa with its spectacular views of Setubal and the Tróia Peninsula. She also gave us great recommendations of things to do and see in other cities in Portugal. We loved our stay here and will definitely be back!

We had an excellent stay here a few years ago so didn’t hesitate to book the Rio Art Hotel on our next stay. We were traveling for my birthday and they went out of their way to make me feel special. This was especially heartwarming as our luggage was missing and we were having to deal with getting the necessities. The front desk is always providing a warm greeting, useful recommendations, and asking if there is anything they can do to make the stay even better. The rooms are larger than most ‘European’ rooms, very clean, plenty of towels, and has Portuguese charm. We look forward to our next visit.

What a beautiful hotel in the middle of Setubal. The staff were wonderful extra helpful. Anna was better than a guided tour of the area. Great sights and wonderful restaurants . It would not have been the same without her advice. Hopefully we will be back soon.

Cozy and quiet hotel with clean rooms and tasteful décor. Breakfast selection was great. The staff was very helpful and friendly. There's no elevator but the other positives more than make up for it. Would not hesitate to choose it again.

The staff are among the most courteous, helpful, and friendliest we've ever encountered. Special thanks to Sebastian, Ana, and Patricia for looking after us and offering their respective expertise and suggestions, and who made us feel part of their family! The premise is very quaint and comfortable, the room is more than adequate for two people and includes the basic amenities, bar-fridge, safe, TV, a typical "continental" breakfast, and a stocked coffee machine in the room!
Although listed as a 3-Star, the service received and the condition of the recently refreshed interiors, left us feeling it is definitely worthy of a higher rating . . .

We stayed two nights at this very nice hotel. We had a spacious and nice premium corner room. Location is perfect in the city, with only a couple of minutes by foot to the shopping streets and the food hall. Everyone working in the hotel is very nice and helpful, could not take care of the clients in a better way. Parking is easy, it´s possible to park just outside the hotel. However there you can pay for up to only 2 hrs during the day. A few blocks away there is a long term parking, where you park 24 hrs for only 3 Euro, very easy. Breakfast is ok, nothing special, but you find everything you need. We would definitely stay here again.

The artwork in the common areas and room was beautiful. The front desk staff were extraordinary!! Extremely helpful and thoughtful. They printed out a bike route and train route for us. Amazing people! Comfortable bed. Area close to restaurants.
