It was a very good stay at a great price, my only issue was the spund the AC made, I woke up in a panic because i thought it was the door. Other than that we slept well and were very cozy in a nice room

The rooms smell like mildew and smoke as you're walking down the hallway. Upon entering our room, the AC was very noisy and looked clogged with dust. The carpet should be removed and replaced with floors like in other hotels so the smells don't linger. The electrical outlets are hard to reach by the bed. The only plus was getting free breakfast and the hot water working too well as there was no cold water.

The hotel had an appealing appearance however there was a lot of bugs outside on the sidewalks. When we checked in the lady was very nice and she greeted us and helped us quickly. The room was pretty nice but the beds were very firm. The breakfast was okay, the front desk lady was not restocking anything though and she kinda had a rude attitude when we asked her to do so. She told us they were out of supplies for breakfast and it was off putting after the lady we checked in with told us the night before that it was a free “buffet” breakfast so that was disappointing. However, other than the bad service and disappointing breakfast and the bugs by the front and back doors of the hotel, the firm mattresses, the stay was fine cause it was just for 1-night.

It seems that you will have to get up at 4 am, when is the start time for breakfast (to accommodate highway workers and police officers) to be able to enjoy hot breakfast. This is a problem at most hotels in Cotulla. Breakfast is horrible or non existent. Also, cleanliness is not their forte, as there were random used items everywhere on the counters and no one was taking care of cleaning the tables.
Room seemed clean, but there was an unpleasant smell.
