Arrived to a closed hotel, no staff and no information prior to arrival. Called and got hotel. After that, nothing for days.
Felt like everyone had given up and abandoned the hotel and the restaurant.
Gave up and found another hotel after a few days.

Quite easy to find, near Hurtigruten pier, I had a room with lovely sea views. Its simple, clean and tidy rooms.

Love this hotel. I travel a lot in lofoten and I have stayed at many hotels. But this is one of the best ones. I like this because there are a nice staff, very helpfull. Nice and comfortable room. You have a nice wiew from the room, specially when hurtigruta comes to stamsund. There are chrome cast in the room, that's very nice. Så you can watch whatever u want from you phone. Love it.

Don't be put off by the exterior as this hotel has been beautifully renovated inside. Very comfortable bed great view and excellent water pressure in a room that presents as brand new. Really good breakfast served a short walk away in the Rorbuer restaurant/bar which is also restored authentically. Great harbour area and of course a stop for the Hurtigruten.
