My husband and I love to stop here! Beds are super comfy, and the lobby is an awesome place to just hang out. Very low key and relaxing! The decor is spot on!

I really enjoyed the location, shops and restaurants near by, and friendliness of the hotel staff. The rooms were clean and spacious, with large beds. If I had any complaints/critique, the TV reception was bad o Friday, making it nearly impossible to watch TV. Phtside of that, it was a very nice stay.

We were unaware there was a charge for parking At the hotel until checkout. We were disappointed that the restaurant was closed for two days during our stay. The Caboose staff seemed poorly trained as he was unaware of drinks listed on the menu and where to find ingredients. He also had difficulty charging it to our room with the computer.
Upon arrival, Cory’s assistance, orientation and welcome was exceptional.

It was as expected…with the exception that housekeeping came and ‘tidied up’ and didn’t leave any towels. I imagine staying in one of the rail cars would make it worth it, but there are clearly motel room types and ours felt like an of holiday Inn. On a positive note, the bar staff at Elsie’s Daughter and The Caboose were fantastic!

Such cool property! Will stay again. Check in felt rushed even though no waiting. Room was great. Coffee bar in lobby had no milk or cream. The charm and vibe take any small negatives away.

I enjoyed the Hotel Chalet so much I was sad to leave and spent time my last night just chilling in the room! The bed was super comfy, the shower water pressure was amazing and my room was near the coffee bar so each morning I woke up to the smell of coffee. Parking is a little rough: you pay, but it’s not a closed lot so as much as I’m sure they tow people, some of the cars are probably not for the hotel a few hours throughout the day. Still worth it. I’m sending all my friends and want to come back!! Staff was sweet and helpful, and the decor was just as beautiful as the pictures. I did NOT stay in a sleeper car - it looked too small for the price but they looked cute!

Lovely stay in a box car themed room. Clean & delightful. Breakfast at Elsie’s Daughter was nice & convenient. Be sure they take the 20% off while in the restaurant. It doesn’t come off at check out like the new waitresses will tell you.
Will stay there again.

There are so many other places in Chattanooga that you can stay in so dont downgrade your stay at this joint. There are literally 5 employees for the entire hotel.
#1 no room service, no seriously they never cleaned our room for half the stay we were there. In fact they knocked on the door and asked if we wanted it cleaned and yet still didnt get it. We waited 45 min for new towels.
#2 Just forget the coffee shop. They had no milk 2 days in a row. How the hell do you run a coffee shop with no milk?

We stayed here for a weekend trip to celebrate a birthday and to climb at Stone Fort. The area is great for children and adults, alike. Behind the hotel is a community area that offers food, drinks, and children activities. I do believe the restaurant associated with the hotel is probably better equipped for drinks and dinner- its more of a date night or girls night out location. We stopped at the restaurant for breakfast our first morning- and we were not impressed. This did not deter us from enjoying our stay! The hotel staff are incredibly friendly- especially when we checked in close to midnight. The rooms are spacious and clean, and room service tidies up everyday(!). The towels, robes, and shower are great. The interior decor is vintage inspired and very cutesy with the emerald green wall color and dimming lights in the rooms. I enjoyed the classic edwardian style, although the modern use of carpet over hardwood/tile will poorly age the aesthetic and my guess is it will be dated in the next 5 years. Besides a personal opinion of style- I enjoyed this stay! Bring the family and enjoy the pool side during the day and be sure to enjoy the night life of the close bars. This location is safe from the hustle and bustle of the city and if you are like us and plan to spend the day climbing- its only a 15 minute drive to Stone Fort while offering a restful and clean stay. Hotel parking is not free FYI- it's $18 per night. Also, please somebody water the plants, they are thirsty

The balcony's really aren't balcony's. It's a door that opens up to a fence around the bottom half. Which that's fine. You have to pay for parking $18 a day. I didn't get notified until I had arrived and was checking in. $75 hold for every night for accidents is what they called it. I didn't get my room cleaned like I was suppose to but I will chalk that up to a busy day. The door men are wonderful. They probably deserve a raise honestly. It's train themed so it's pretty much what you expect.

Fantastic get away for my son & myself! The hotel has been recently remodeled & they've done a beautiful job. The decor has jewel tones & gold accents reminiscent of train cars.
The guys at the front entrance were so nice, friendly, helpful - but not pushy which I appreciated. Their welcoming smiles, great first impression. Spacious, but intimate lobby & coffee/pastry shop.
The pool had a luxurious setting with recliners, courtyard, train-car bar & firepit with lots of seating. Its heated, not enormous but fun for kids & relaxing.
It looks like some outside areas are being worked on, different than the "old" hotel & grounds. There are several restarants & upscale bars around the old lobby (train station) within a short, safe distance from the hotel rooms.
Highly recommended Elsie's Daughter which is by the pool courtyard & rail cars. They have interior seating & a beautiful patio. Not typical southern fare, unusual menu. Very French!
Our room was well designed, a mini fridge stocked with drinks to buy, a little table & corner seating. It had a great mix of modern updates while retaining that vintage charm. The shower had good water pressure & I loved the mosaic floors.
Parking is $18 a day & I understand they usually tell you. Unfortunately, I had issues with our 3rd party reservation, but the manger called me & was very helpful. I was so grateful for his efforts & kindness. Not the fault of the hotel, but those adjustments do make a big difference. Thank you!
