Decorated like an old school, this place had charm! They provided tea and coffee in the rooms and offered wine service for when you arrived for an extra charge. I also had difficulty getting a hold of a tour company I booked through and the hotel staff called them throughout the day until they got back to me. It was incredible and a huge stress reliever. They allowed us to explore the city without worries. It was also walking distance to the old ruins of a church and the cathedral. It was also walkable (although farther) to the Roman amphitheaters.

good location and had parking. this was the plus. small rooms. no english tv stations. bed smaller than we were use to and did not have a twin bedroom for us. decor is too basic and uninteresting. Just not a comfortable room.

The building is an old school and this is teflected in its decor. I especially liked the use of locker style wardrobes and the photos of the class groups on bedroom doors.

The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Good shower.

We stayed two different times and both rooms’ bathrooms flooded. The second room A/C broke down. We told the staff in the afternoon before leaving and when we came back at night it was still not cooling. We told the staff again and their solution was giving us a fan. At checkout we asked for a refund and they denied it. They told us they checked the A/C and left it at 22C and that probably 22C was too hot for us. We are from the Caribbean, 22C is cold for us!
Outside of the above, the room’s decor seems to be purposely ugly. I understand there’s a theme of a college, but why does it need to feel like a dorm, specially for the price?

Wonderful hotel in the heart of le vieux Lyon near everything a tourist could ask for. The personnel were polite, welcoming and very helpful. I wished that the room was a bit larger but I guess the choice was mine in terms of room. Highly recommended.
