Beautiful property but very buggy… lots is ants everywhere… my family and I got lots of ant bites .. not much around the area.. you definitely need a vehicle to move around..

We got there at 1:00 and as soon as we walked in they abruptly said check in is at 3:00. Very rude, unfriendly. They tried to charge us double for their resort fees which is unacceptable. When brought to her attention, girl at the front desk apologized. Management visibly sat in the back the whole time and never greeted us. This is a catfish property. They have a tiny adult pool that kids are not allowed in unless over 16. If your kid even attempts to get in, security guards come over and turn it into an embarrassing situation. The kids pool was murky, dirty and was the size of a hot tub. The food at the Pink Octopus was terrible and overpriced. I reserved a 4 bedroom with 1 King, 2 Queens, and 2 Twins. What they gave me is 1 Queen, 2 Fulls and 2 Toddler size beds. When I called the office, the lied and said I got what I booked. The beds were super hard. The room was disgustingly dirty. The couches were dirty and worn down. There were ants and insects all over the place. Super large undetermined pest was living in one of the vents. The dishwasher was broken. The washer was broken. The bathroom light was broken. When we called to let them know, they informed management wasn’t available. The kicker was they didn’t have any running water, then they lied and said it was a government issue! All the surrounding hotels had water except Palm Cay. It was so horrible, we left early, lost money and went to another resort where we could enjoy ourselves and our kids had so much fun.

Its a contruction site. We had light rain and the few block were flooded. No drainage. SPA was closed. Nothing much to do.

This is on the opposite end of the island from to loud noise of town. Get a rental car if you will be there long. Only 1 restaurant on premise. We loved the pink Octopus restaurant and the beach club. Totally worth the daily fee for access. I think the listing should mention bottled water. We were told at check-in, after our can had left that the water was not safe to drink from the tap and we had 30 min. Until the dock cafe close sed to go get water or we would need another taxi to a store outside the resort. We brought coffee but there was no coffee maker, only filters and a tea kettle. We made due using the filters and a strainer. Everything else in the unit seemed brand new like it had just been constructed. Right next to the pool and a pretty walk to the beach.
The marina is beautiful and the views from the restaurant were amazing. We had a great time with perfect weather. We would return.

The bad. The place was literally a construction site. Outside of the apartment that we were staying in was multiple structures being erected. The noise was unbearable. When at the beach area you could barely hear the waves of the ocean. Jackhammers and drilling as well as banging amongst the verbal chit chattering of the workers was heard all day and every day that we were there. Then while in the apartment, work was going on there too. Drilling and power shutdowns to do some electrical upgrades also disrupted our stay. When the weather was bad we couldn’t even relax indoors, due to no power for 3 hours on one day and drilling and banging for 4 days. The noise was ridiculous inside the apartment. At least a contractor was considerate enough to give us a heads up about the power being out. When arriving, the staff at the welcome center wasn’t very welcoming. When checking out the one staff member that was occupying the welcome center just took our access bracelets and muttered, “ you can go now”. Not very hospitable to say the least. If you don’t have a group of 8-10 people. Arrangements for an island boating trip could be an issue. Solomon’s supermarket is about a 20 minute walk each way if you need to get groceries which isn’t too bad. But between the heat and the duration of the walk it could be an issue when carrying the groceries back. Pool water was murky. If you don’t have a vehicle you are pretty much stuck there. The good.
