::Our Mission at Jay Bear’s Retreat::
Currently, Jay Bear’s Retreat is home to The Jaxon House and one cozy cabin, Three Pines Cabin. While the treehouse cabins provide a unique getaway for all, we have a very special mission at Jay Bear’s Retreat: “Giving families of special needs children the opportunity to make memories while enjoying all nature has to offer.” Our son, nicknamed Jay Bear, was born 14 weeks premature and spent the first 5 months of his life in the NICU. Our family knows first hand how important it is to spend time together, but how difficult it can be with so many doctor and therapy appointments. Once a month we will offer a family with a special needs child a free getaway to make new memories that will last a lifetime. As we grow, we plan to expand and use a portion of the rental income to build a third treehouse that will be used 100% for these special families.
Experience the magic of Jay Bear's Retreat and embark on a journey of rejuvenation, connection, and serenity amidst the enchanting beauty of Hocking Hills. Book your stay today and become part of our mission to make a difference, one cherished memory at a time.

I have stayed at numerous cabins over the years at Hocking Hills. By far, this Treehouse Cabin has been my wife's and my favorite. Everything was just perfect, The cabin had everything you need, the view was unbelievable, and the atmosphere was second to none. If you want a relaxing fantastic get away this is the place to stay. Sitting outside at night by the fire pit and watching the stars and listening to all of the wildlife was perfect.

What a beautiful place! So clean and inviting. Private. Totally relaxing! Not far from all the trails and parks. I had some difficulty getting info from VRBO( a glitch) but when I messaged the owner they responded immediately!

The property was immaculately clean and in fantastic shape upon arrival. The communication from the hosts was fantastic. Any question we had was answered quickly and clearly. Our fault, but worth noting, it shows it has a stovetop, not oven. Keep in mind when getting groceries! Great location, 15-30 minutes to all major sights in the Hocking Hills area. Hot Tub was clean and in perfect working order. Lots of AC units, including one facing the bed, which was REALLY nice. Internet was fast at least for the location. Regular deer visitors as well! Overall, my wife and I couldn't have been happier with our stay and would highly recommend staying here. Not to mention supporting their mission.

We loved this place— beautifully decorated and everything we needed for a few days away from home!
We enjoyed the fire pit table and ability to eat in, utilizing the grill out on the deck. The hot tub was perfect after a long day hiking. It’s a very private and quiet property… highly recommend!

Spent a wonderful week here on my first solo trip. It’s just as pictured. Immaculately clean, well-appointed home in a harmonious setting with amazing trees and lots of natural light. Great location for exploring nearby Hocking Hills and then relaxing in your own private waterfall shower and forest. Spent time on both decks either lounging in the hot tub or dining high above. Highly recommend.

This was an awesome property. New to the listings this year. Hosts were very nice and super responsive to email and text questions.
The accommodations were beautifully furnished and finished. Everything was provided for us for the stay and if we needed anything else the owners said they would run it right over(did not need anything). We will definitely stay here on this property again and has already been marked a favorite. Thanks again to the owners.

The treehouse is absolutely gorgeous. The location is close enough to Logan to make it easy to grab dinner and supplies, while still feeling remote and secluded. Everything inside the home is clean and beautifully selected. You can tell a lot of thought and love were put into building the property.
Tyler and Vanessa are the most gracious hosts. We were one of the first families to stay in their treehouse. And while there were a few minor hiccups during our stay, they were extremely responsive and helpful!
We had a lovely time and would recommend the property to anyone looking to get away and disconnect!!!
