On arrival our room wasn't ready due to the fact of only 1 person working. She had it ready in about 20 minutes though. The exterior needs a good power wash. Room size was great. Bed was harder than I would like.

I wouldn't know because I canceled at 10 AM because my fiancé became ill. Didn't get to see the room called the hotel to cancel and they still sent me messages as if I were going to be there.

The Venture Resort has a great location, comfortable rooms and a nice pool and hot tub, and we’ve stayed here a number of times over the years.
However, over the past two years there’s been a noticeable decline in the upkeep of the grounds, the building exterior and the hotub and pool.
The building exterior, stairwells and balcony chairs were covered in bugs, the once lovely grounds looked neglected, the large pool area had very worn furnishings with only one umbrella and the pool and hot tub were quite dirty. It was sad to see this once beautiful property looking so run down.
On the flip side, the Venture Resort still has it’s great location, our room was very clean and the staff was helpful and friendly.

We loved the room with three queens and the view was fabulous!! We are definitely re-booking before end of summer. They even accommodated storing our electric bikes!!! So nice staff!
The “only” annoying thing was a loud noise from pool filter nonstop….was hard to tolerate with the beautiful setting 🙁

The hotel is right on the lake with pool and lake views from every room. It’s clean, has friendly staff, & everything you need. Great location. My kids loved it. Will be back!

Really nice place. Room was huge. We had a king bed. There were 2 tvs. A separate area with a couch and desk. Mini fridge. It was great.

The resort was easy to find and the employees at the front desk were knowledgeable and informative to what was going on the island (an island race with road closures). The cleanliness of the room was lacking with a wet stain on the bathroom floor and crumbs being left on the bedroom floor as well. The mattress was older having indents left from previous guests.

The upstairs bed pillow had hairs on it and a bottle cap in the sheets. Hottub was just warm and dirty. No jets running little kids in it splashing no policy for that Very hard to reach someone regarding anything. Smelled like puke behind steps and our room key did not work the 2nd day but nobody in office to tell

The first room we had booked was not cleaned. They did give us another room. The TV didn’t work, the bathroom door was difficult to close and the seemed like it could have been cleaned better. I expected for 2 nights so much more for $700

We loved our stay. Our hotel room was PERFECT in every way. The water was across the street and we enjoyed sitting in the adirondack chairs watching the waves. I would definitely recommend Kelleys Island Venture Resort to friends and family.

We enjoyed our resort room so much that we booked an extra night‼️Our room was very large and comfortable and our view was perfect. Management was extra nice and accommodating from check in to check out. We look forward to staying here again.

We stayed in April for the eclipse, so it was preseason. I would love to come visit during the summer when the island will be in full swing. The accommodations are a bit dated but clean, and in a great location with a biew of the lake.
