We found that the apartment did not live up to the excellent photographs and reviews it got on the website. Our apartment was dull and in need of refurbishment. Having said that Ester was great with communications and very helpful with our questions.

There are some great things about this property. The pool is fantastic. It is nicer than it looks in the photos and surrounded by comfortable lounge chairs, a nice wooden deck, fruit trees and an amazing view of the sea. Given how hot it was, we were so happy to have this to come back to after walking around or even from the beach. We stayed in one of the apartments, right next to the pool. The rooms are very spacious, the AC and shower are great, and they are very clean. If they invested in some new furniture and fixtures, it could be really special. As is, they are somewhat dated, random and just not very nice. Esther is great with communication in advance of check in and while there. But be aware she is not there on Sundays and we were not able to get in touch with her at all that day, although it’s possible this is an exception. She really was great otherwise. The worst part is the walk to town. It’s only 10 min, but uphill, in the heat, along the main road. There are bits of sidewalk, but most of it you are just sticking to the side of the road hoping the cars watch out. If the weather was cool, we might not have minded this walk, but by the 2nd day, it had already become somewhat wearing for every meal or activity (there is nothing at all right by or in the hotel). We didn’t like Taormina very much (too touristy and hoity-toity) but had a fairly nice stay here.

I liked the location and the kindness of our host. The swimming pool is nice, and we have a wonderful view on the sea.

We had a perfect stay at Medea Residence! We really enjoyed having an entire apartment with a fully equipped kitchen. And an extra plus: The pool is heated so even though the weather wasn’t the best, we could still enjoy some pool time. The residence is approximately 10 minutes from the city of Taormina by foot (uphill, so the walk is a little hard). The owners were extraordinarily friendly and welcoming. We could not have asked for more!

Medea Residence exceeded our expectations, very clean, spacious rooms, friendly staff, beautiful gardens and a pool!

The location is perfect, within a short walk to the cable cars down to the beaches and within an easy walk of the main town. Very laid back and friendly. A little awkward when first arriving trying to gain entry but apart from that a great stay

We really enjoyed staying here. Was great to have a pool in a small hilltop town. The pool area was spotless with plenty of sun loungers, and shaded areas too. Our room was well equipped with everything you would need for a basic stay, and an extra bonus was a sun lounger and table and chairs on the balcony to enjoy the gorgeous views this place has. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would 100% recommend.

Due to flight delays we arrived late and had a bit of trouble getting to the residence, but once we finally found it late- after midnight- the host was there to meet us and open the gates. Such spectacular vies in a quiet area at the bottom of the hill in Taormina. The apartment itself was well appointed and charming allowing us privacy and a full kitchen to make breakfast and small meals. The walk up the hill is about ten minutes, but better than staying in the center of the city which requires parking at either end of the city which is not convenient at all with luggage. I would definitely stay here again upon returning to Taormina. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!
