The apartment was clean and well furnished. The spund machines in each bedroom were a thoughtful touch for a downtown location. There was a handbook with lots of helpful info on the neighborhood and dining/entertainment options. Staff were readily available via text and very helpful. Will stay there again.

I had many issues with my stay, and I would recommend staying in a real hotel over this airbnb type booking. I felt unsafe and like the room was not secure, along with the AC being broken in the bedroom during a heatwave. I asked to check out after 1 night instead of the 2, and they completely ignored my request and only told me they’d send someone in to look at the AC unit on my second day. That was unacceptable to me, so I checked out a day early even thought they still charged me for both nights. Lesson learned, I will not stay in a place without a front desk again.

The room was clean, cozy, and had plenty of amenities. The hotel is in a convenient and walkable neighborhood with lots of shopping and dining options, giving us easy access to attractions such as Wrigley Field and The Second City. The only reason I can’t give our stay a 5 star rating is that we booked and paid for a queen bed, but in reality the room came with a full bed which made for less comfortable and restful sleep for two. Another small qualm is that the track for the sliding bedroom door was not level and therefor the door would roll back open when trying to close it, meaning we couldn’t shut out the morning light from the main room.

Our stay was amazing! The penthouse was clean with plenty of room for the five of us. The hike up the stairs was an adventure everyday, but was worth it. Had an great stay.

We loved the location and the Lincoln Park / Lakeview vibe. We just wanted a convenient and clean place to clean up and crash at night, and The Neighborhood Hotel provided that and then some. The complimentary coffee was tasty, and the kitchen was amply supplied. Bed was comfy. Nice cable TV and wifi setup. I liked the simple pre-arrival check-in and the keyless access. 7-Eleven, Target, and Trader Joe's nearby, and tons of places to eat and grab a coffee or cocktail. Very clean!

This place is clean, quiet, and comfortable. The bed and bedding were fantastic. Coffee was provided. We didn’t hear any noises and appreciated the quiet. Excellent place to stay.

This place is very clean, comfortable, and the location is fantastic if you want to be in the Lincoln Park area. Check in is a bit of a hassle, and you can do this before arriving in Chicago.. we didn't do that. I found the check in to be a hindrance, we also had weird conflicting messages that our credit card had been declined due to fraud, but then not notified by our credit card until the day we were supposed to check in.. but apparently the Neighborhood Hotel had resolved this. There's no one to talk to, so I wasn't sure what was going on. Our apartment was a fourth floor walk up, so if you don't like carrying your luggage up flights of stairs you might not like this. However, we did like the apartment, we loved the location, and I loved the cleanliness. There is city traffic noise at night, which shouldn't be an issue if you are used to that. All in all, I would recommend the Neighborhood Hotel. Our check in situation might have been unique.

I enjoyed my stay and the convenience of the location to everything. The place was quiet and had everything we needed. Communication was easy through text- there is no front desk. Parking on the street was fine and free after 10 pm. The only 2 things that were inconvenient was there was no elevator (I traveled with my mom who uses a cane as needed and did not even think to ask). The other thing is that we traveled with 2 adults and 2 children but there was only one bed. Overall I loved this place and would stay again.

I had a wonderful stay in one of the gorgeous spacious apartments in this beautiful historic building. The apartment was spotless, beautifully decorated and appointed with anything you could possibly need. I highly recommend a stay here!

The location can't be beat. Customer service went above and beyond and the accommodations were fantastic! Would definitely stay here again our next time in Chicago!
