The nearby cove of Port Quin is a few minutes’ drive away or if you fancy, a clifftop walk. Kayaking is good here too. Take a walk out to the stunning Doyden Castle, the location for the original Poldark series, which stands proudly on the headland. The sandy bays of Polzeath popular with surfers and Daymer Bay are only about 5 miles away and Rock on the Camel Estuary is just a little further on.
