Thoughtfully curated by the owner, every room showcases art that reflects the spirit of Montana, blending seamlessly with the home’s warm, rustic design.
The expansive living spaces are perfect for gathering, featuring vaulted ceilings, cozy fireplaces, and walls of windows that frame the breathtaking mountain scenery. Multiple patios invite you to dine al fresco, with the mountains as your backdrop.
Sleeping up to 20 guests, the home’s bedrooms are designed for comfort and privacy. The master suite is a sanctuary with a king bed and spa-like ensuite. Additional king and queen bedrooms provide plush accommodations, while bunk rooms offer a fun, communal space for kids.
In winter, step outside to ski directly onto Big Sky’s famed slopes. In summer, explore hiking trails, enjoy outdoor adventures, or simply relax in the private hot tub under the stars. This property is more than just a vacation rental; it’s a cherished family retreat, now available for those seeking an authentic Montana experience. Whether you’re here for adventure or relaxation, this home offers an unparalleled blend of luxury, comfort, and natural beauty.
While 30 Middle Rider may leave you wanting nothing more, the Mountain Village and Madison Base areas are each a 5-minute drive in either direction, with numerous options for shopping, dining, ski rentals, lift tickets, and a small grocery store. Big Sky's Town Center is only a short 10-minute drive away, where guests can find additional options for activities, restaurants, retail, and local escapades. Looking for other things besides skiing and snowboarding while in Big Sky? Be sure to check out dog sledding, Nordic skiing, snow shoeing, a sleigh ride dinner at a local ranch, a snow mobile tour, or Yellowstone National Park. In the summer, choose from fly fishing, horseback riding, local ATV tours, hiking trails, rock climbing, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, golfing, white water rafting, weekly farmer's markets, and free concerts. One of the best parts of this location is the proximity to Beehive Basin, which is truly one of the most scenic hikes in Big Sky.
Ski Out:
From the garage, walk directly forward to the groomed trail, then proceed down the trail across Middle Rider Road and onto the groomed access below. Follow this trail (labeled with small green signs with “B” on them) down and to the left until you go through the tunnel to the White Otter chair lift. Ride White Otter to the top and cross White Wing to follow signage to the Big Sky Base area.
Ski In:
Follow White Otter Access to the rope tow for the Cascade. Take the Cascade Lift to the top and climb the stairs to a groomed trail (labelled with small green sign with “B” and parallels Beehive Basin Road) that will take you back to Middle Rider Road (make a quick left onto “D” trail).
Not recommended for snowboarders or young children as the ski in/out are about 10-15 minutes long depending on snow conditions. The home is not ski in/ski out if Cascade lift is not running. The start date for Cascade lift varies, but typically early to mid-December. Access lifts may close before Big Sky Resort's closing day depending on snow conditions.
