Experience the Colorado Dream in a Mid-Century Modern Riverside Geodesic Dome
Discover luxury and local charm in this riverfront 3-bedroom, 3-bath dome, built in 1981 and renovated in 2024. Enjoy private North Fork of the South Platte-side soaking in a saltwater hot tub, soaring ceilings, seamless indoor-outdoor flow, and two 85” TVs. Located less than an hour from Denver, Breckenridge, and the Dream Stream, Bailey offers outstanding wilderness access.
The open, modern kitchen extends into a comfortable space for larger groups to dine, play, and connect. Floor-to-ceiling folding sunroom doors bring the mountains into your home. A spacious wrap-around deck connects the main home to the Wandering Bear Den, a 400 sq ft recreation room with an 80" TV and arcade games. The main floor master suite features a king-size bed, a trundle bed with two twin mattresses, and a private European-style bathroom with a rain shower and classic white subway tile. The main floor guest bedroom includes a queen bed and a slide-out twin mattress. The loft offers a private ¾ bath, sitting area with a 55" TV, and a workstation.
The home, den, and near acre are exclusively for your use. While we are not onsite, we can answer questions remotely. Bailey is a small Colorado mountain town with local breweries, a fine restaurant, winery, coffee shop, dispensary, and gas station. Our dome sits on 2/3rds of an acre with 100’ of private gold medal river access. It’s an hour to Denver, Breckenridge, or the Dream Stream, and 15 minutes to Kenosha Pass and the Ben Tyler trail. Skip I-70 and experience quintessential Colorado!
Ample parking for up to 8 vehicles, with space for an RV (only six vehicles overnight). We welcome well-behaved dogs, but unfortunately, no cats. Highway 285 is roughly a half mile from the property, and the river can run fast at times—please keep a watchful eye on children and pets. The mountains are a tinderbox, so please be careful with any kind of flames. No use of firearms or fireworks. Catch and release fly fishing only with a Colorado State fishing license. Please do not fish beyond the section of river between the two fences that define our property—the community is very sensitive to fishing rights and maintaining the river’s gold medal status. No events. No more than 12 people and 8 vehicles at any time on the property. Per Park County regulations, no more than six overnight guests.
