We love Newport and we’re looking for our own mansion to stay in for my sisters 60th birthday celebration- this property fit the bill with a beautiful view of the river. We slept the whole family and had a blast hanging in the big updated kitchen area ! Beds were comfortable and bathroom’s updated- the pool table was an added bonus and turned a lot of us into pool sharks at night! We walked to the coffee shop down the street and took advantage of The Boathouse restaurant nearby. It is not a bad drive to Newport and we would definitely consider staying in this house again. We discussed with Chris (the owner) a few issues that we had and he was super responsive.

Great location with gorgeous sunsets and views of the water. Well stocked kitchen perfect for cooking big family meals. The large backyard was perfect for families. Easy drive to Newport!

Our stay was amazing! The house was very clean and accommodated all 14 of us. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen and dining table are spacious and wonderful for cooking and gathering. The location was perfect because it was close to restaurants and beaches we enjoy and not far from Portsmouth and Newport. So many great beaches and places to eat nearby. Hosts were detailed oriented, helpful, and quick with responses. The only thing we wished the house had were some fans, but if we thought of it ahead of time, we would have brought our own.

Great place for families. Lots of space and lots of room to spread out would rent it again.

This house was amazing. Beautiful. Huge. Lots of room to spread out. Absolutely loved the kitchen. Chris is an incredible host. We had a small, personal issue at the start of our trip that Chris went out of his way to help us with. A stand-up guy!!

Our family of ten had a lovely reunion weekend in Tiverton. The house was clean and sufficiently equipped in the kitchen etc. We did not need to communicate with the host but the communication during the registration process was fine. We were close to a beach and restaurants and the drive to Newport was easy. It is a nice location for a group just wanting to hang out and enjoy time together.

Great big house for some friends in town for a wedding in Bristol. Great sized bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms for us all to be comfortable. Walking distance to a cute coffee shop and local beach.

This house was perfect for our group stay! Beautiful older home with a large kitchen overlooking the water. Plenty of beds and bathrooms for larger groups. Chris was easy to work with and very accommodating. The hot tub was an added bonus!

A family getaway was what we needed and this place was perfect. 12 people, 3 generations, everyone enjoyed themselves. The house was clean and with plenty of cleaning supplies, etc. Huge yard great for outdoor fun, nice hot tub, amazing kitchen. Close to so many things to do. Thank you to the hosts.

Very unique property with a lot of character and tons of space, bedrooms and bathrooms for a large group. Chris was very responsive to questions and always very helpful. View is great, close to public beaches, plenty of parking and a huge yard and kitchen to enjoy. It is an older home, so be aware that there are some rooms you get to by going through other rooms and every room is unique. Just adds to the fun and character of the place.

The kitchen was a great place to gather. However, we had trouble with the appliances working properly. The refrigerator freezer did not stay cold the entire week. The freezer wouldn’t keep ice cream frozen. The refrigerator did not keep things cold and the icemaker did not work. The dishwasher leaked and the latch was broken. Many doors in different rooms did not latch. That was a problem in the TV room because of the noise. There was a burner on the stove not working. And there wasn’t enough furniture in the house, specifically the bedrooms and the upstairs main hall bathroom. There weren’t enough usable surfaces. One of the downstairs bedrooms did not have a closet or a dresser. The stools around the kitchen table were uncomfortable and did not fit the height of the table. The door from the kitchen to the deck had a broken handle. Both bar stools in the kitchen were unusable because they were missing nuts and bolts.

We had a fantastic family stay here for our daughter's wedding. Plenty of room to spread out and the facilities were perfect for our family dinner and the wedding preparations. We held the wedding in Newport. The location of this house is perfect for that. It was an easy 35 minute drive to the farthest points in Newport during our stay.

There was much excitement leading up to our group's stay in Tiverton based on the property's profile, and the house surpassed the already high expectations. A beautiful ocean view from the front porch, a spacious kitchen and dining room, and a plush green backyard are among some of the highlights that await your stay. The billiard room is perhaps the mansion's greatest gem and I will refrain from leaving a description to not spoil it's overwhelming coolness felt upon entering. It comfortably sleeps a large crew, and given the accommodating space, you may even forgot some of your guests are there, for better or for worse. Also a great access point to Bristol, Newport, and Providence. Highly recommend!

Hi,I am reviewing the process/property I stayed in...the morning of my arrival I was contacted and told my property was switching to not Tiverton. Which is cool, the property I ended up in was excellent, and the comms was wonderful. Great service, great support, over communicated, just an overall excellent experience.

My family came up to Rhode Island to visit my parents during COVID times and decided that we would rather all stay in a house together rather than in a hotel. So this house worked out perfectly for us. We were 8 people and needed 4 bedrooms. So this a bit of a big old quirky house. It is beautifully set on the property with a water view out the front. The kitchen area and eating area are both great. Very large and well appointed. They have 1 sitting area with a TV that accommodated us all very well and they had a pool table that also got used. That part is all very straight forward. It’s an old house and so the only bathroom on the 1st floor is in a bedroom. Then when you head upstairs (they have 2 different set of stairs) things become interesting. They have lots of bedrooms but some of them interconnect with some of the others. I always had a tough time finding my bedroom but all in all totally fine. It is an old house and it goes with the territory. All 4 couples had their own bathroom just not all en-suites which we knew in advance. The beds were all very comfortable. The location was great. We drove into Newport 1 day and they have a coffee shop down the street which is walkable. It was great to be all together during these difficult times and this house really made it possible.
