I liked the view to the garden, the pool was clean, and restaurant was nice, it all looked fresh and clean, weather was nice, beach was near..

I would add a microwave or oven into the rooms, since food is expensive, and not available at all times..

This is an amazing place! Your room is a cabin itself, you are isolated from the other guests. There is private parking for your car and a great swimming pool area with restaurant (good food!). Staff is super nice and willing to help at all times with everything. The place is near bars and restaurants, and walking distance from the beach. I would 100% go back!

Room was really little and dark with old worn-out furniture, old shower bed was uncomfortable, The bungalow is too noisy ( due to open arears ) No shower gel , no bottle of water ( $ 90 per night rate) We have to ask for cleaning and dry towels ( after the day without any cleaning) From our experience, the hotel is overpriced for it's facilities It's better outside than insight ! Also the closest decent beach ( where is possible to swim ) is about 15 min walking

Love the bungalow style accommodations, great location close to both downtown Puerto Viejo and Playa Cocles, there were sloths ON the property in the trees, quiet at night, secure, A/C, good food, nice pool, mosquitoes nets if you want, but most of all… ARGELIS! This man absolutely made our trip. He was working quite long hours that week and still took time to help us figure out what to do and planned so much for us, whether tours or transportation. He knows all the right people in the area so if you want to see Cahuita, sloths, chocolate farm, or just a good restaurant nearby, he’s your guy. Thank you again Argelis!! Pura vida.

Maybe it was just the week we were there, but there was often construction starting quite early in the morning, like before 7am. Understandable given the heat later in the day, but it made it hard to sleep in at all. Also this might just be a booking.com issue, as we were told that the room we picked with 2 beds didn’t register on their end as 2 beds, and for some reason breakfast wasn’t included even though they generally always include it. So I suggest messaging the property ahead of time to ensure you get the beds you want.

Very good location and quality of room. The staff wa super nice. Argelis was super nice and knowledgeable about the area. Would recommend anyone to stay here if visiting Puerto Viejo.

The pool was nice, also the restraunt had good food.

The cabbin was located 2 meters from the main street. We didn't sleep all night since motorcycles and cars drove the street and were loud. I assume the inner cabbins are more quiet, but if sleeping at night is important to you, getting those cabbins is a risk not worth taking. Especially for the high price of this hotel. We had a very bad experience, that's too bad since the owners seemed very nice.

The parking is not confortable, very bad for big cars and also they charge me $1 for tap water refill, I did not understand this policy very unfriendly. The mattress and pillow can be better, I stay in several places for same money with better quality,

The proximity to Porto Viejo. So many great restaurants. Grocery store nearby. Short walk to Cocles Beach. This swimming pool is a nice addition and the bar area. The gardens are more beautiful than ever!

The location was good, being on the ocean front and at the edge of town, so it was not far to walk into town (which we had been warned could be dangerous at night). The hotel has recently completed a pool and the hotel provided towels which was nice, however there were no seats or sun loungers in either the pool area or the garden area on the beachfront rooms across the road where we were staying. The gardens were beautifully kept and there was an abundance of birds, a family of agouties and what appeared to be a resident sloth in the grounds around the pool area. We loved watching and listening to the howler monkeys in the trees virtually every morning and evening and taking a nature walk along the ocean front.

We only ate breakfast once at the hotel and for $10 we did not feel that the meal represented value for money. Selinas hostel, a 5 minute walk to the right along the beach, offered much better value. The restaurant / bar area is very small and unimpressive (and closed at 7.30) although the hotel are currently building a much larger area around the pool.
