The host was communicative and friendly, welcoming us with kindness to her cute apartment in her lemon grove. The apartment is a 15-minute walk from the train station and to the city center. The apartment is inside a gated compound and is clean and spacious. The air conditioner cooled the apartment well.

We had some difficulty finding the property as street signs are not clear but lovely garden and apartment. Laura welcomed us and was a available for any questions. She told us where the nearest grocery store was and that we arrived on an Italian holiday! Yikes as Sorrento was packed! All the amenities were there with breakfast biscotti included. It was a 15 min walk to the center of Sorrento- 20 min walk back uphill the whole way! Great exercise! Overall a pleasant stay.

The photos tell the absolute truth about this accomodation, except? What I didn't know when reserving? It's a ptivare little house surrounded by lemon trees and flowers with a sweet garden table and chairs out front. The host is wonderful and responsive. The ONLY thing I will add - in case it's important for you - it's a little bit of an uphill walk from the main town area and port. Quiet, private and a perfect place to wind down after a big day exploring the area, make dinner and enjoy a glass of wine by the garden!

Check in was great. Marie was so friendly and accommodating. Accommodation was perfect for the two of us. In a quiet location but an easy walk into Sorrento. A couple of really nice restaurants 5min walk away and a couple of supermarkets again 10minute walk. House was equipped with everything we needed. We even managed to sit outside a couple of times. We had a lovely stay.

Sweet and lovely place, and Maria is a gem and just super helpful--and we visited in winter, and loved the fresh citrus from her orchard!

"Beautiful apartment in the middle of a lemon orchard and close to the center of town. Shops and markets nearby. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a laundry machine. The apartment is clean and comfortable for two people. The landlord, Laura, is very nice and helpful. She picked us up from the station upon our arrival and drove us back on our departure. She provided us with maps of the area. She lives on the grounds and is available to answer any questions. We had a very enjoyable experience. Another plus was having internet, if you bring your own computer."

We had a wonderful stay in our roomy little cottage in Sorrento. Maria was amazing, she even picked us up at the train station and dropped us off after. Everything was clean and exactly how it looked in the photos. Maria had thought of everything; she had a few snacks on the table for our arrival, lots of tourist information pamphlets and even extra plug adapters which was much appreciated. It was only a short walk to the main square of town and we found the location very convenient. We would definitely recommend staying here to anyone going to Sorrento.

We loved staying in Maria Laura's apartment for 6 nights. From the first moment we felt at home. As soon as you come through the green metal gate you feel the coolness and scent of the lemon trees. Hidden away between higher houses and busy Sorrento streets this place makes you feel relaxed right away. There is a lovely sitting place in front of the apartment where we had our breakfast. The apartment itself is super clean and contains everything you need. We loved the green yellow and white design of the kitchen and the white tiles that also bring nice coolness on hot days. Maria Laura was extremely helpful and very lovely. Make sure to try her wonderful jams and the home made limoncello! We hope to return soon.

Maria was an amazing host who picked us up and dropped us off when we arrived and left even though we left early in the morning. She quickly replied to all of my messages and even let us use her beach towels and umbrella. It was a short 10 min+ walk to the city center and then a little farther to the beach. It was a beautiful town to stay in.

Maria was very welcoming, accommodating and helpful. She was gracious and friendly when we met her and left some snacks and homemade jams and limoncello. The accommodations were perfect for our family of 4 and we walked into town and the pier everyday. The location was right near the restaurants. we would definitely stay here again.

My group of three had a lovely stay at Maria Laura's place. She very kindly picked us up and dropped us off at the station, and we were able to check in earlier than planned. The homely villa is in a quiet area away from the busy streets and the walk to and from the centre of town was very manageable. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a fabulous 9 day stay with Maria. She goes out of her way to make you feel at home including picking up and dropping off at the train station. It was great to be able to open the door and pick an orange off the tree for breakfast or pick a lemon for cooking dinner. The place was clean and well equipped, no complaints at all. It is a bit of a hike up the hill to her place from downtown but we did it daily with no problems. Thanks Maria

Enjoyed this villa immensely! The owner could not have been more helpful. She provided transportation from/to the train station for our arrival and departure. The villa is clean and well furnished and again, Maria Laura was extremely helpful to us. She made us feel welcomed! We particularly enjoyed the front patio surrounded by a grove of lemon, orange, kiwi and olive trees. The walk to and from downtown Sorrento, as mentioned in several reviews, is invigorating. However, I appreciated it each day after a filling meal at the dozens of excellent restaurants within walking distance. Kudos to Maria Laura for making our 1st visit to the Amalfi Coast a memorable one!

Maria Laura was a wonderful host! She went over maps and directions and gave us tips and suggestions. She even gave us a welcome breakfast basket with home made jams from her lemon grove! There was a nice sized modern bathroom with plenty of towels. We enjoyed the outside patio in the afternoon for a glass of wine al fresco. Ten minute walk to town center with access to buses, trains and ferries. Walk back is uphill but doable. Maria Laura was gracious and friendly.

Fairly basic but fine as a base to see Sorrento if you don’t mind the steep and busy road into and back from town without pavements and the Italian drivers!

Maria was a great host. She was very flexible and accommodating regarding check in and check out and provided an abundance of information about the area. The accommodations were exactly as pictured and described. The location was perfect within walking distance of the train station and Sorrento. We enjoyed our stay adjacent to the lemon grove!

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights. Maria Laura was a wonderful host and very accommodating. We were able to arrange check-in and check out with her very easily. The location is about a 10 minute walk to the city center. Very convenient as we walked back and forth a few times per day. The road back is up hill so just be prepared. The unit had everything you would need. Our only complaint was the bed. The mattress was pretty uncomfortable and seemed like it was at the end of its life. It certainly didn't ruin our trip and we would definitely stay again. Before we left, I even purchased homemade limoncello and jam from Maria Laura. She wrapped them beautifully and made it easy for us to transport back to the US. We hope to go back to Sorrento and stay again!

Maria Laura was the perfect host. She picked up/dropped us off at the train station and gave very useful information about the area. Just around the block is a place to book a wide variety of tours- they pick you up and return - just two min. from Maria Laura's place. We went on a small boat tour down to Positano with a couple of stops for swimming. What a great day.

This was a beautifully clean and spacious accomodation with everything you would need. The 1 bed house was ideal for my wife and I and is located only a 10 minute walk from Sorrento old town,which is the tourist centre. The road to the town is quite steep which would make it difficult for someone with reduced mobility.. The owner,Maria Laura,was very helpful and upon our arrival gave us some very good ideas of what to do and where to go.

I really appreciated Maria's hospitality and recommendations for the area. The apartment was within a lemon grove, that shaded the unit well especially considering it was the middle of summer. The address that google directs you to is not correct, but Maria was happy to meet us where we were lost. She also gave us a ride to the train station when we were leaving, much appreciated. Another large perk was that there was a washing machine! Nothing like getting all your clothes clean while on vacation (just remember to bring detergent).

The house is very clean and Laura our host very nice and welcoming. It is very well located, walking distance from the center of sorrento, the train station to go to Pompei, the bus to go to Positano, the grocery store. We would return there anytime.

Maria was really helpful beforehand and answered my queries promptly, which is always a good sign. She picked us up at the station and stored our luggage on our last day and delivered it to us at the station in the afternoon. That is really good service. The apartment is a good size and was well equipped, including fly screens on the windows. The bed was very comfortable. It is a bit old fashioned, and some of the fittings in the kitchen are not sparkling new but don't let that put you off. It is a good base at a reasonable cost in an expensive tourist town. in terms of the location, the apartment is less seaparate than i exepcetd from the details, as there is house/ flat attached behind and above it. this does mean that you hear a bit of noise from people clattering on the tiled floors etc: this is extremely common in Italy, as is the number of barking dogs. In fact, for Italy it was quite quiet and secluded. The setting is pleasant, despite apartment blocks being close by together with some workshops, the overall impression is of greenness with lemons all around. You don't have free rein around the garden but there is a pleasant sitting area with table, chairs and deckchairs. The walk into the centre of town is not too far, although it is uphill to come back. Just be aware that there are no pavements on part of the route. Overall a good choice if you like a bit of space and greenery and are on a budget. And Maria is very helpful.

This spacious apartment is surrounded by a lemon garden. We are a couple with 2 teenagers felt very comfortable staying there. Very clean and light colors of the design. The Wifi is very fast! Private parking space. A grocery store in 2 min work. Only one thing, in order to get to the apartment from the city center (if we didn't use a car) we had to "climb" a very sharp rise. But the apartment was worth it. Dear Maria Laura, thank you very much for our pleasent stay.
