Lovely property. Lake access across the road.

Need a car as not much around. Some nice restaurants in nearby towns that are worth a visit. No grocery store nearby.

It is in a beautiful location. I was so excited about this stay but it just didn’t live up to what it was billed as online, sadly. It wasn’t terrible by any means, just wasn’t worth the money.

I definitely did not like that the bar area was just below where my kids slept and one night it seemed that a few guests decided to have a party and had the music up really loudly. My kids couldn’t sleep. Then, when I messaged the manager on what’s app to find out when the music would be turned down, I didn’t get a response. That was pretty poor. I also thought the restaurant wasn’t that good- way way overpriced. The little beach restaurant just up the street had better food, honestly.

We loved everything! And close enough to the airport (less than 1 hour).

the service didn’t match the description on the website. the restaurant was not good (chef and staff separately insisted on reading my text messages to prove I had a dinner reservation- surely one staff member is enough?). breakfast was some sandwich bread and some brown strawberries, cold coffee. no kids meals. over priced hotel in general. ferry only comes once a day with no way back. recommend going elsewhere if you want services.

I liked that it is a pretty place. It has a lot of potential, but it needs a lot of attention

I didn't like that when we arrived the living room was infested by stink bugs. They were everywhere. They were on the windows, curtains, ceilings, floors and walls. No one could come and clean up because it was late at night. We had to stay up and kill bugs! Horrid.

the hotel room was lovely, clean and nicely decorated. we got a massage in our room and it was amazing, very much recommended. the staff was very nice and polite and helped with all of our needs. a great stay in Lago Como.

The hotel service was amazing from the time we reached to the time we checked out. Very accommodating and helpful staff. Location was perfect with a beautiful view of the lake! Definitely recommend with a car hire and staying at this lovely location. The hotel owner was very welcoming and we got some lovely local honey as a gift when we checked out.

I stayed one night but I am glad I chose a strategic place! A wonderful lakeside villa with an unforgettable view, close to the centre but away from the chaotic noise of the city. The villa is on the edge of the lake and if you want to rent a boat without a licence it is very convenient because you can reach the pier directly from your suite with 2 steps. In the morning we had a delicious breakfast surrounded by the garden overlooking the lake and had the convenience of parking on the property with an electric car park. Thanks to all the friendly staff! We will visit again!

Beautiful old villa by the very lake with a private pier. The apartments are incredibly well designed, cosy and comfy. Garden and swimming pool is just beautiful! But having said the above- all that wouldn’t be a 10/10 hotel without it’s staff- competent, going an extra mile to help their guests and making stay at Domus Plinii really fantastic.

we absolutely loved Domus Plinii!!! The staff was outstanding, as were the facilities (pool, beach, etc.). We rented a boat and it was such a delight! We had an absolutely wonderful time and can't wait to come back!

the only thing to consider when booking this place is that it is very secluded, which is certainly part of the appeal, but also will impact your experience, especially if you do not have a car. there are only 2 other restaurants/bars that are within walking distance and we were also there during shoulder season (early Sept), so one of those was closed due to weather, meaning we only had one place to possibly get lunch each day. It was not a con for us because we thought the food was fantastic and we wanted a really quiet, secluded experience, but it's something to consider while you are booking if you are not hoping for that!

Very helpful staff who communicated well with me when my arrival was delayed. Lovely decor, great bathroom and kitchenette. Wifi TV which allowed me to conect with my own services like YouTube and Netflix for personalized choices. They gave a lovely gift of a jar of honey with little wooden dipper as I departed. They arranged a private driver for me to get to my next destination. He was very friendly and helpful. Thank you Pamela and Gerardo. The restaurant was excellent as well. It is in a glass gazebo on hotel grounds, exquisite! They served me a late dinner upon my arrival, fresh porcini mushrooms picked locally, on pasta, very light and flavorful, a highlight of my meals in Italy so far.

Beautiful hotel with nice big rooms and kind staff

This exquisite historic villa and surrounding park is the quintessential boutique resort offering stunning, uniquely designed suite/apartments, each with kitchen facilities overlooking Lake Como and secured parking. Close to Como, it is also the home of a Water Experience Center and adjoining beach with lounge chairs where we took a boat tour, rented a boat of our own, kayaked and tried SUP. The restaurant offers delicious breakfasts and gourmet dining, and sitting outside in the evening overlooking the lake was a very special treat. In the evening, it is quiet and you can hear the lake washing over the shore in a soothing melody to ensure a wonderful night sleep. We loved that it was away from the busier, more touristy places of the Lake, yet offered all the amenities anyone would want, including an infinity pool in the garden and a way to experience all the villages by boat. Their staff felt like family after only a day and Elisa, Stephan and those in the reception area were so accommodating.

Our only regret? We had to leave.

we had a very great time in this lovely -stylish family suite with the lake view , everything is perfect !! in front of house is water experience center where we rent a boat to boating on the lake and swimming in the middle of lake come, and spent hours at the swimming pool of the hotel, everyone here is friendly so we had not only breakfast but also dinner in the restaurant of the hotel, hope we can come back soon !!

Fantastic location. Very convenient with parking etc. restaurant/bar staff lovely. Especially at breakfast! Nothing was a problem for them.
