the rooms were clean the food was excellent

I stayed in the "motel" portion of the hotel for the first time and actually quite enjoyed it. It's the classic two story affair and is about 10 meters from the main building. It was very quiet and the amenities were the same as what you'd get in the hotel portion. There is a Sawmill restaurant on site for those who like their beef (there are other offering as well) plus an on-site liquor store and a games room with a fair number of VLTs (if you are into a little wagering). Handy location - right on the highway but it never seems too busy. You might also get to see or hear the odd F18 as the 4 Wing is stationed at Cold Lake.

This would be food related although the dinner I had at Sawmill was excellent. My only peeves would be that the tap beer selection isn't great. All the corporate brews are pretty much on tap but nothing in the way of craft beers. The other nit I have is that the "free" breakfast (only if you paid for it with the room) is only offered from 6 to 9 AM on weekdays although they do extend to 10:00 AM on the weekends. Being a retiree traveling for pleasure, it would be nice to amble in at a later hour. All in all, minor inconveniences...

One bed was hard, the buffet breakfast had no food and plates, and there was load bang above our room all nite it.

it was very nice place but it was very loud. there was wedding happening and was very hard to get my kids to sleep because of the noise

The breakfast was good and pleantiful. It was close to everything

staff in restaurant were awesome.

we only booked there as was a pool. after arrival we found out oool was closed. kids were disappointed

breakfast was good just wish it started around 5:30 not 6 as i had to be at work at 6:30 so i had to eat and run but was good

TV most of the TV channels did not work

It staff was good but lady in restaurant was mad at me over a tip saying she had to pay out of her own pocket because I didn’t tip enough very unprofessional

Worst break fast ever , u guys at booking.com are thieves , i booked a room from ur website and gave me a different one , breakfast was not excitable at all cuz it wasn’t like any other hotels we had to pay 20$ to get breakfast Most hotels complimentary

Everything should be looked at

- room wasn’t as booked ( picture shows something and reality is totally different) . - breakfast wasn’t as expected ( food wasn’t enough , you get only one meal which suppose to be buffet as everywhere). - manager was so rood

The suite was very clean and the beds were comfortable.

The parking was terrible. We could not find parking because the bar/lounge beside the hotel shared the parking lot. Plus the patrons from the bar were loitering around the parking lot area and made it very uncomfortable to walk from the car to the hotel. Lots of vagrants.

The air conditioner in our room wasn’t working both days we did let the front desk know after the first night but it was not fixed and it was quite uncomfortable in the room both nights. Otherwise the stay was wonderful.
