I really liked that the hotel paired with the surrounding businesses such as the golf course and restaurant and gave coupons.

Breakfast ended at 9:00am, brunch would've been cool.

no balconies in rooms, beds are very soft(I prefer firm beds) and the walk to the beach is a bit far.

The location was perfect. We had a pool which in the area is hard to find if you rent a home via some other app or website. We could get to the beach easily via a short walk and the hotel provided a voucher to get two chairs and an umbrella set up . I didn't know how it worked the first day so be sure to have cash to tip the people who set it up and break it down for you! It was a huge treat to have the spot set up for us. We left some towels and beach toys there after being in the ocean for a while and walked easily via beach to the boardwalk for lunch and some shopping. We then walked back and resumed beaching. At the end of the day we easily walked back to the hotel without having to lug chairs etc. Everyone who worked there was wonderful but especially helpful was Virginia at the desk. She gave great tips and was so friendly - it felt like having a family member checking in on you and giving you advice. I saw her going into the breakfast space too to let people know that if there wasn't room to sit she had opened the ballroom with additional seating. Just really a wonderful employee - give her a raise!! We had never been to the area and picked Bethany Beach and this hotel on a whim just wanting to try something different for the 4th of July weekend since we are from Massachusetts and honestly - we would come back and stay again in a heartbeat!

My only complaint is the price did have a lot of fees and such built in that seemed excessive. A parking fee every day you stayed, resort fees, destination marketing fee, community impact fee, and then taxes on top of it all seemed like a lot? All in all the fees for Thursday at 4pm to Sunday at 9 am stay came to 412.93. Now, I will say that the resort does have things that also provide you with value like the free beach vouchers for chairs/umbrella, you do not need to uber or drive anywhere to park, you can do free mini golf next door, and they give you 10% off your bill at Mickey's next door for food. You also have breakfast every morning and there was a lot of food. Oh and when you arrive they give you two orange smashes in your fridge. So I think the hotel tries to make up for some of the cost by providing these things. So I wasn't psyched about the fees but I didn't feel ripped off - just something to beware of when you are staying there.

Love the proximity to the beach! The room came with many perks, like the free beach chairs and umbrellas. I loved the relaxed space where you can even take a stroll at night on the beach. I will gladly stay there again.

No daily room clean which is as ok but a one time clean at least to get out trash would have been nice. The room was super humid so everything felt damp
