I have always treated my various family members to a room at the Holiday Inn Express in Haskell when they come to town for the holidays or family event over many years. It has always been clean and accessible and the staff was always very accommodating. Because it is listed as an IHG Hotel, I felt confident in what to expect.
This visit, however, was not a good one. I was embarrassed because my guests had issues with the bathroom whereas the toilet was clogged and the shower seemed to have water pressure issues. They also had no access to television and when they reported same were told there was a power outage. Worse, the person at the desk seemed to care less. When you stay at an IHG Hotel, you expect for than this.

It was all you would expect. But as a person who walks with difficulty . I asked for a handicapped room. We where placed on the 4th floor. The elevator stopped working and there was no way for a disabled person to leave with out going down 4. Flights of stairs.

There was a pretty little pond out back of the hotel. The location was good, easy to get off and back on the route that we was heading.
One of the two hotel rooms was dirty.

The. Price was too expensive. The lighting in the foyer and at the microwave and fridge and coffee bar was inadequate.

The staff was very helpful, our room was cleaned every day as we spent 9 nights here. Breakfast was so good and included hot food. It was really quiet and the bed and the pillows were super comfy.
The only thing was that we couldn't open the windows for fresh air but I understand that with the heat and moscitos it is the best solution.

The key wasn’t working for our room. The room was dusty and there were cobwebs. The AC unit was held closed by a zip tie. No fan in the bathroom.

The staff were not attentive on our second day there. they did not clean our room and an alarm was going off Tuesday am for over 2 hours and a staff member was on her phone in the kitchen area where it was going off and she was oblivious to it. our room was down the hall and it woke us up…
the coffee wasn’t hot and there just seemed to be NO management.

Clean beautiful room with a comfortable bed and a chaise lounge to watch TV in. That chaise lounge was my favorite part of the room. I loved the indoor pool as well and spent some time in it. I have a disability due to back and leg trauma. The pool is the only was to get exercise without severe pain.
There was nothing to complain about, actually. From check in until I left it was a wonderful experience.

Liked everything. Clean, new, everything worked. ABSOLUTLEY LOVED THAT YOU HAD BOTH SOFT AND FIRM PILLOWS ON BOTH BEDS - AND THE PILLOWS WERE LABELED.
Nothing. Everything was as good as it needed to be - which was very good in all respects.
Suggest you make the make the words "firm" and "soft" on the pillows a different color so it's easier to see - THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT - JUST TRYING TO BE HELPFUL.
