Everything was good, clean, quiet
Price for 1 night stay a little too high. Didn’t check in till around 11pm till around 11am less than 12 hours stay.

Location
The ceiling looked as though it had a leak somewhere, the phone in our room did not work and staff was unavailable most of the time or you had to holler to get them to come from the back room.

Good food, soft sheets, comfortable pillows.
I wanted my bed made and trash emptied.

clean, friendly staff!

Good variety of breakfast choices. Comfortable bed and nice that there was a spot to put both our suitcases. Modern, clean room. Plenty of towels and JR Watkins products in bathroom.
We prefer to have blackout curtains in our hotel room over having roller blinds because blinds let in some light. No other issues than that.

Loved it-best in years. Great staff
Nothing. I’m done noe

Breakfast was fantastic. Enjoyed the hot tub. Easy check in. Our room window faced the expressway and yet it was sound proof.
The douvey (spelling?) was too warm to sleep under. We would have liked to have had a light blanket as an option.

I liked most of the breakfast that was offered, the room it was in, needs some more space to move around in though. The eggs tasted like powdered eggs also. Overall though, it was pretty good. The rooms were ok too. Nothing special. I really liked the pool and hot tub, except the rule of kicking my kids out at a certain time. Even though I understand it, I think it should be left up to the parents not the hotel.
I didn't like how small the breakfast area was, the area it was in nor the "dinning room". I also don't think the free breakfast time stays opened long enough.
My biggest complaint though is how the hotel charges a tax on top of the other taxes. I don't know how or why this is legal. It is wrong and it shouldn't be allowed.

breakfast was good
kid’s soccer tournament, so ya he place was packed. which is fine, but kids constantly running up & down the stairs, playing soccer in the halls until 3am, with the parents watching them while they had cocktails. staff did nothing.

The beds were comfortable.
The game room was basically non-functioning. Air hockey and pool table are the only games that worked. The hallways and stairways all were very dirty. the staff didn’t seem overly friendly. they got you what you asked for it just felt like an inconvenience.

it was nice, rooms were big. I liked how you could sit in the lobby & see the pool, but didn’t have to be right in there.
Our room smelled like covered of smoke. Kids almost didn’t get to swim in the pool & we would have been very upset, but then they were able to!

The included breakfast was the best part of the trip.
Sheets were stained in one of the beds, looking like they were unchanged. We reserved a king bed and received two queens. Got a room with a balcony over the pool and it was extremely loud with screaming and yelling until midnight both nights. There was food and crumbs all over the main stair way all weekend long. There were kids pulling on our door and running up and down the halls until 3 am the second night due to a sports tournament. No towels in the pool/spa. Kids in the pool the entire time of adults only swim from 10:30-midnight. Staff who checked us in was incredibly rude and did not explain fees.

Breakfast was good. Lots of choices.
The refrigerator in the room makes tapping and loud high pitch noises every 5 to 10 minutes that keep you awake. This is in all the rooms I've stayed in.

I do like the location. It's a quiet area
I didn't like that the soaps were not filled but bottles were left in restroom.

the rooms were clean
the pool area was dirty. The hot tub didn’t work we told the front desk staff and they said it’s working it just has to cycle…. I said I don’t think so it’s freezing. it never worked.
I had 3 rooms revered for my sons birthday. my 7 year old was super excited and ran down the hall to the other room where my sister and kids were staying and one of the front desk people came up and yelled at him for running in the hallway. I get it if it’s the middle of the night and they’re running back and forth but it was 3pm and he ran to their room and back.
another family had taken over the breakfast area we’re having a Christmas party. they didn’t have room keys so put towels in the door to have access to the pool area. we ended up having pizza and cake in our room because there were no tables.

location, breakfast, pool all nice
hot tub not functional, one of the main reasons for our stay

Good but not quite as good as in the past visits. Missed the bacon and scrambled eggs. Could use an additional toaster.
Toilet paper roll almost empty with no replacement left in bathroom. Hair all over bathroom floor which I had to clean up. Found piece of cereal on floor by bed, carpet didn't look vacuumed adequately. Stair railing dirty and sticky which prevented me wanting to use it.

Ants in the room ruined the trip.

I took my 10 year old daughter and a few of her friends to the Holiday Inn Express in Grandville, MI this past weekend. When we arrived, I had a great check in process. The front desk lady was nice enough to accept a picture of my debit card, since in all the madness I forgot to get my purse that my fiancé was on his way to bring me. After sometime in the pool I was told there was a complaint about the girls being in the hot tub and if I will keep them out of it. About 30ish mins later at 10:10 another man yells into the pool area that we were supposed to be out of the pool at 10. I kindly questioned him as I was told 10:30pm when I called ahead and he yelled to me that was incorrect and slammed the door. I round the girls up and go grab towels and happened to notice that pool hours for children were in fact 10:30 and are clearly posted on the pool window. I then ask him if there was another complaint while asking for towels as to why we are getting kicked out of the pool early. He tells me again rudely there is no other complaints but the pool closes at 10. I then mentioned I called ahead they told me 10:30 and that is what's posted on the window. He yells "WHERE DOES IT SAY THAT?!" I pointed to the window the hours are posted. He rolled his eyes and tells me he will get the towels. Walking up to me he takes a look at the girls with me and yells at me yet again that I can't have all "THESE TYPES" of girls here! I will say most of the girls with me were bi-racial including my own daughter. I ask to speak to a Manager and he tells me that I need to leave the Hotel and informed me he was calling the Police. 3 Police Officers arrive shortly after upon arrival asked me my name and if I have a weapon as they were told I threated that man with a knife. At this point I am not only fuming, but embarrassed and hurt as I have these little girls terrified, wet, and crying with my daughters heartbroken.
