It lived up to my expectations

I had originally booked at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Asheville, but then saw the picture of this hotel on booking.com and the description said Mountain View and I thought it looked very very nice from the picture. However, it wasn’t as nice as they portrayed it to be on booking.com. It’s very old. The room smelled awful. The pictures were very deceiving. I have booked for two nights, but ended up moving to a different hotel for the second night.

I am VERY picky about hotels and this was a good one. The hotel itself was updated in decor and not your cookie cutter intestate hotel. It was decorated well and a very cozy vibe with natural wood and stone. The beds were comfortable. Hallways, elevator and all facilities clean. The rooms were very clean as well. The grounds were pretty as well with a walking trail, landscaping and places to sit and enjoy the outdoors. It felt safe. Honestly, it was a better experience than several 4 and 5 star properties we have stayed lately.

Decorated nicely, clean, nice staff. Everyone very helpful with suggestions for restaurants and site seeing. Breakfast was good.

Directly on Blue Ridge Parkway but bit far from Asheville City and dining options.

Location was great. Easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Also, close to hiking and many restaurants.

The restaurant was closed, at the hotel. didn't open until 5:00 pm. It would have been relaxing after a 10 hour trip to have an early bite.
