No eating utensils, glassware, ets in kitchen whatsoever. No shade (umbrellas) whatsoever in pool area.

Location was nice and the 7th floor view was great.

Front desk staff could be more friendly. Had to ask twice to get new towels and ended up getting them ourselves from the only friendly staff member, from the housecleaning group. Limited parking available.

It was horrible.

We walked into the room and were disgusted. The sofa looked like something you would find at the dump. The toilet was incredibly dirty and stained. The walls and patio door were stained and disgusting. We didn’t dare touch one thing. We took a few pictures and left and never even stayed. We let the front desk know and asked to hear from a manager and never did.

Pool very limited in size and deck, driving on beach in this area, distant from natural parks, very dated rooms-definitely need a refresh, had to renew my key several times as repeatedly locked out of the room , evidence room had been broken into several times on door and frame

- Great view and location - The hotel has really interesting architecture — every room has an ocean view balcony. - Spacious room with two bedrooms, so I could stay with my dad and we could both have privacy. - Friendly front desk guys, and a very cute, very vocal cat that hangs around the property.

- It seemed so dark inside the room. - Every light fixture seemed to be a different color. - Smelled like mildew/mold as is the case with a lot of seaside hotels/motels. - The dishes and silverware were dirty. - One of the beds in the room with two bedrooms was SO uncomfortable (but the other bed was good).

We stayed on the weekend, there was no breakfast I knew of!

The price for the product, rooms extremely damp, smelled strong of mildew, all surfaces extremely dusty, stained couches, mold on the air vents, sink and shower drains clogged. Also the no beach acess, I know because of last years storms, and turtle season and etc, and yes I was made aware in an email there was no beach acess, in small print, 24 hours before check-in where I couldn't cancel and refund. I didn't read reviews before I came here and wish I did, I only started when I seen how disgusting the rooms were. I also dont write reviews, but for this place i must. Most comments are very close to mine, with hotel copy and pasting the same response to all of them! If you want to stay at an overpriced "hotel" right on the beach, that you have to walk a block down to get to beach and wonder if what your sleeping in or on was actually cleaned, with little to no amenities this is the place for you!

It is on New Smyrna Beach. Parking is for free. The air conditioning in the rooms was quiet. It’s right opposite an awesome Mexican restaurant.

It’s shabby and run down, which the pictures in booking don’t full represent. They haven’t rebuilt the steps giving access down to the beach. There is nowhere for guests to wash off sand before the pool opens at 9am. There was no housekeeping during our 3 night stay.

The beachfront location.

The accommodations were less than desirable. Our room was outdated, dusty, and musty. There was literally black mold spores on our bedroom ceiling. I tried to change rooms and even hotels, however everything there and nearby was fully booked. We made the most our trip either way but I would never stay here again.

Oceanfront and pool

No beach access. Had to walk down a block or drive and pay $20 to get on the beach. This was not mentioned on the hotel website. There were tiny bugs in the room (followed us home in our bags). The blinds didn’t go all the way down. I notified the front desk and showed pictures, but maintenance never came to fix. Tub filled up very quickly when showering and drained very, very slowly. 4 pipes on balcony dripped water on us when sitting on balcony.

They should have a temporary beach access climbing over fences is not safe for comfortable

We love the location and access to the beach. The rooms are nice, quite spacious. We come to Best Western NSB multiple times annually.

There is no beach access as the stairs were damaged in the hurricane. We were not notified of this until check in. We should have been notified prior to check in as we would have chosen another property. This is misleading. There were some young girls (12) in our group who were yelled at for coming to the front desk to ask a question without an adult. The front desk didn't ask them what they even needed, just told them to go back to the room without even letting them speak. The staff was a bit too harsh unnecessarily. I understand rules, but ease up on how you talk to people!

Entire hotel exceeded expectations. We spent a few days at a Orlando Universal Resort and were very disappointed in the hotel. We wanted to to go to the beach next and picked New Smyrna at random and thought the Best Western sounded fine for our wants. It SAVED the vacation! The room was clean and comfortable and had a great view. The staff was so friendly and helpful. At one point, our microwave wouldn't turn on. Maintenance had a replacement in less than 10 minutes. My kids' hot pocket emergency was saved! It was a fantastic stay and we'll definitely return.

Access to the beach was limited but that was no fault of the hotel - simply aftermath of a hurricane.

When I finally got in the room two plus hours later due to a door to balcony broken it was surprisingly comfortable and cool and quite spacious. Loved the 2 balcony's. and it was quiet. My TV didn't work but they sent a maintenance guy to replace batteries quickly.

The attitude of one particular staff member Jacob on the phone wasn't helpful and could never find my reservation even after I'd stayed there he couldn't find me when I called back and couldn't help resolve my payment issue and referred me to Kaley. He said don't yell at me I can't hear you but after repeating the spelling of my name over and over to Jacob I was extremely frustrated. I had to call back to tell him to look for my last name first and he never called back when he said he would a day before I was to check in. I called back and his attitude was the same. For a new employee he needs to tighten up on his customer service skills a bit and be nicer to paying guests. Gail on the other hand went above and beyond to help me and she apologized for the delay and gave my father and I two breakfast. Coupons and took extra fees off my bill and Kaley took 30 percent off at check out for all the inconvenience. I'm still awaiting the transaction to post at the discounted amount on my check out receipt . I called Kaley the next day and she was nice and said give it a few more days to post. Initially when I called I got Jacob again who to me sounded like he never spoken to me and asked what it was about and I said I think you know your the one who told me to speak to Kaley regarding my concerns and repeated my name to him once again the twentieth time. It was exhausting!! But the shirt stay was enjoyable and my soon to be 90 year old father slept like a baby in the comfy king bed and he appreciated the kindness of Gail and the way she kept us informed and helped improve our stay. We will return and hope things go smoother!! Thank you!

Great location.

No beach access direct from the hotel. Our room came with a pull out couch that didn’t work. The staff actually left the pull out pulled out so we weren’t able to use the couch even to sit.

The view was great, and location was fantastic.

The room was not clean. The glass partition had fingerprints all over it. There is a water leak above the shower. You can see the water mark and mold. The AC register is filthy. Expected more cleanliness for rate that was paid. The pool is supposed to be for guests, but I witnessed many beach goers come and use the pool then get in their cars (hotel is next to public parking)

The hotel room was very spacious! Great view of the beach. The beds were comfortable. The staff were all very pleasant throughout the entire stay. The onsite restaurant was fabulous.

The sofa in the room was worn out, it seemed broken. The blinds were also broken. There is not enough lighting in the room. The hallway was dim. The is a very animal friendly hotel, I didn't know that until I got there. I wouldn't have booked if I knew that.

Computer problems at check in, also had to go back and sign card. Rude when asked for print out of bill with refundable $150 pet deposit at checkout. Booking site says beach access but they don’t have it. washed out. Rooms were supposed to be $179 but ended up $250 a night, plus $60 a night for 2 tiny dogs (total weight 10 pounds a 3 and 7 pounder)

Everything that could have been changed ! Staff acts like you are doing them the favor. All except cleaning staff who are ALL NEW and have a mess to clean. Rooms have been let go ! I had to move my room. Bed used, toothpaste in floor. Cobwebs, fingerprints everywhere!! Fridge dirty with item left inside. Etc! Best part - no apology. The spiteful young lady I shared this with acted as though I was being petty. I had to move them partially clean my next room. They could not accommodate a room refresh in a matter of a five day stay. I was sick with food poisoning and had to clean my own toilet! Best ever ! The girl charged me 100 dollars because I was needing an extra 10 minutes on my one hour extension due to stomach issue keeping me in restroom ! They turned away a single mom with handicapped child having arrived at 1am in NEED of a room. Took her money but would not allow her access to her room until 4 pm the following day !!!!!!!!!! They were NOT BOOKED. JUST SPITEFUL! But I brought it to the attention of best Western corporate. I got treated as though I was petty and wanted something free. This is been the worst hotel experience in 50 years.

booking. com failed to tell us that there was no beach access because of hurricane damage from last fall’s hurricane. pool is very small and very few chairs available Ran out of hot water while showering.

the sofa bed was terrible . very uncomfortable . we had a 2 bedroom suite and they only gave us 2 towels for 6 adults . no extra toilet paper , no toiletries .

Close to beach & Walgreens.

Bathroom lighting wasn’t the greatest. Requested Ocean Front room & ended up with side angle view of ocean. Older man working front desk wasn’t very friendly on the phone or in person. No hot tub & body lotion not provided with toiletries just shampoo & conditioner.
