Our stay was perfect! Even though we fully booked the house with 10 people, we never felt cramped, there was plenty of nicely decoured space and so many really nice bathrooms. The house was in very good condition and the kitchen (we cooked nearly everyday for 10 people) really perfect. The garden and pool area though were outstandingly georgeous. The beach was close, beautiful and never even slightly crowded. Our hosts were very attentive and looked out for us on our stay. The only tiny disadvantage is that the wifi is not covering all rooms evenly well. We will visit again!

We holidayed as 3 families with young kids in May. The house was great with the pool area which can be closed off, lots of amazing garden space with sunshine and shade to play in and sprinklers on timer which the little ones loved! Andrew provided us with good travel cots and highchairs for the tiny ones. There are a various different seating areas around the garden so we were able to all be together or spread out as we wished if we were in the house. We also enjoyed using the outdoor BBQ a few times. There is a vast unspoilt beach just at the end of the road, which really is amazing to have close by, as well as a kids playpark a little walk away but we didn't really use this. We visited the nearby coves which are beautiful and more sheltered for windy days - under 5-10 mins drive away. Roche hasn't got many amenities, a pharmacy, cafe and restaurant but 2 supermarkets nearby and Sancti Petri and Barossa very close with more lovely beaches. We visited lots of local towns and beaches (Vejer, Conil, El Palamar). We took the kids horse riding at a nearby riding school. We were there for 10 days and in hindsight it would have been good to arrange a mid-stay housekeeping. All in all it was a peaceful place, great for a group and we all really enjoyed our stay.

This villa is wonderfully located 2 minutes walk from the a fabulous sandy beach which literally stretches for miles. We walked along it every evening, almost alone, to watch the sunset. The property is stylishly furnished and well equipped with lots of space, particularly outside with lovely gardens, a shaded pool area, a covered dining area and a fabulous, private, intimate courtyard (our favourite). There is a lot to see and do locally, Cadiz, Jerez and the coast being especially interesting and Andrew and Maria are a font of local knowledge (Try Casa Luis), and exemplary hosts. Having stayed in countless villas over the past 30 years we would not hesitate in recommending this property.

Casa Almadraba is such a lovely place that three generations of our family have been coming back here every May for the last six years for our annual get-together (and we’ll be going back again)! The villa is very spacious, comfortable and beautifully appointed and feels like a home away from home. The beautifully refurbished kitchen and dining area has created a really smart, modern open-plan space, which is also very well equipped – perfect if you’re into cooking up the lovely local produce and eating al fresco as we are. Between the pool and the beach, the kids are always happy and have something to do. The beach is just a couple of minutes stroll from the villa and is a beautiful expanse of golden sand which, when we come in May, we have pretty much to ourselves most days. It’s also so close to the villa that you can hear the sound of the waves in the evenings. Andrew is brilliant and looks after you really well; he’s attentive and always available if you need help with anything. We can’t recommend this place enough and hope you love it as much as we do.

A group of us, couples/friends in our 30s, booked this villa for a week long stay following a wedding near Jerez. We were looking for a large villa with a pool which was close to a beach and within walking distance to bars and restaurants. There is also a fully stocked mini market within a 5 minute walk. We could not have picked a better location. The villa is 100m from a lovely sandy beach which has a selection of great restaurants and beach bars in the evening. We enjoyed walking down for an early evening drink before returning to the villa for a BBQ. It was also lovely being able to be by the pool and go to the beach in the same day, without having to pack up a car and travel. The villa itself also surpassed our expectations. The living area is lovely, and very big, and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need. The pool and seating area are well kept and the garden is very big. We didn't have children with us but I imagine the large garden would be a big plus. We also loved the large table outside for group meals. Andrew could not have done more to help us and the bottle of wine left on arrival was a lovely touch, as well as the comprehensive house guide book. he was also contactable to ask any questions which was a real bonus. I would thoroughly recommend this villa for a group of friends or for a family holiday.

Stayed in the excellent Casa Almadraba with another family. Heard sea from villa and within easy walking distance ( say 200m). Dry and decent temperatures in February. So much to do though:- - Cadiz - Jerez - Vejer - Roman ruins of Baelo Claudia adjacent to Bolonia - Walking at Pinar de Barbate Wonderful food and friendly locals. A lovely villa set in beautiful surroundings. A stone throw from the amazing beach of La Barrosa and amenities but in a secluded and peaceful location. A rustic feel accommodation that was clean and very well equipped. The owner was very friendly and attentive and made us feel very comfortable. Offering us advice on places to eat and where to a visit. Would certainly recommend this villa to families and those looking for a relaxing holiday.

Five of us stayed at Casa Almadraba for a superb nine-night stay. As described the villa is but a short skip, hop and jump away from the stunning beach at Roche. A huge wide open expanse of clean and vacant sand awaits. The villa itself is in a secure, quiet and tree-lined locale. Just enough people around but not too many. The villa was clean and well-prepared. Andrew was always available on the phone when needed for tips and advice. We used the pool most days except when visiting the many places on offer all within a short drive - Cadiz; Vejer de la Frontera; Tarifa etc. You can have as relaxed or busy schedule as you feel - we fell somewhere in the middle. I would not hesitate to recommend both this villa and area. We shall be back for sure in 2016.

Fantastic location, house particularly well suited to large family group, of different ages. Lots of different eating/chilling/hang out spaces. 2 minutes to the beach (if you are walking slowly!) Helpful and supportive owner. Would thoroughly recommend.

We went with our family to this property. It was beautiful on the pictures, but it was beautiful in real as well. What a lovely place to stay! Plenty of room for everybody (7 adults and 2 children). We had a great time and the house and the swimmingpool were one of the reasons. In addition the beach (just 150 meter away), the environment and the beautiful citys made our stay unforgettable. The owner was willing to help and very friendly. In short we will recommend this property if you search for room, silence and enjoyment. Fa. Van den Engel (Holland)

The house, the pool, the beach..... Everything is so beautiful! We went with my old parents and my mother-in-law, so we expent much time at the house and on the beach so close to the house. We live in the Basque Country, so the weather was important, and we could enjoy ten days of sun and 30ºC!!! We will go again next year to Almadraba. No doubt.

Just two minutes walk from the beach and a decent pool. We totally relaxed for the first time in ages. Would definitely book again.

Another brilliant family holiday. The house is beautiful with lots of space for privacy, the garden is perfect for relaxing, it's a treat to be able to have all your meals outside, and the beach is only two minutes down the road. The owner could not be more helpful. We've already booked for next year.

Lovely villa - very close to a sandy and often fairly secluded beach. Very friendly multilingual owners. Our children (12 and 15) had a wonderful time in and around Roche, an area that feels very safe. Great daytrips.

We had a fantastic Holiday in Roche . Very nice house with enough space for a big Family ! Superb garden and terraces with beautyfull pool. Great beach just 150 m away. You can reach Cadiz or Jerez in about 40 min by car. Very friendly owner who helps immediately if there is any question or problem... We will surely return to this lovely place !!! Chris
