The heater wasn't working
The staff took an hour to check me in. She was alone. Nobody else was there.

I was upset to be required to pay a $12 parking fee. I understand the need if you are in a densely populated city like London or San Francisco, but Palmdale! It felt like a scam. I travel a lot and have not met that ‘up charge’ in anywhere but major city Center’s. I felt I was being taken advantage of. If I had realised ahead of time I would have chosen a different hotel.

One hiccup was with me having to wait and verify my booking because the hotel could not charge booking.com. but .... Other than that customer service was stellar and got me into room with instructions to recharge in a couple of hours.

Me and my son went for breakfast at 6:45 and the door was opened but as soon as we got it this lady came to us telligs to get out i tried explaining to her that we were given information but she was just saying GET OUT to me and my SON. It was very disrespectful for her to scream to me infront of my son
Son when the only thing we wanted was a glass of milk.

The location of the breakfast area was good. There was plenty of seating and the area was very clean. We also enjoyed the free entertainment provided by Marina with her beautiful singing. She and the others were very friendly and kept everything clean. The breakfast itself was also good and there was plenty of it.
We do want to compliment the front desk, kitchen staff and housekeeping for their friendly and courteous service.
One of the minor issues is that the bathroom floor looked clean however when we wiped it, it was a little dirty. Otherwise, everything else was good!

The hotel is showing signs of wear. The bathroom door had been very sloppily painted, with white paint on the door knobs and hinges. We were not able to adjust the heating/cooling/fan or even turn it off. Things you might expect in a Motel 6, but not Hampton.

Who charges for parking?? Apparently Hampton Inn. $15 a day and had I known that when I booked it I would have went somewhere else! An extra $75 for parking fees got charged to our stay there.
