We were visiting the area for a Swim Invitational at Mt. San Antonio College. This property is a quick drive there. Also convenient to restaurants and stores. Plenty of parking. The grounds were nicely kept. The rooms were clean. Breakfast was just OK. We had to move rooms because the toilet did not flush properly in the 1st Room we were given. The property literally borders the Freeway, so when you are on the back side it is very noisy (Even numbered Rooms). One of the reasons I booked this property is they offered a Fridge & Microwave. Upon arrival no Microwave in the Room and our in room coffee pot did not work. I asked about this, because I drink Tea at night. We were told 'all microwaves were removed from the rooms in anticipation of remodeling the rooms'. That was disappointing. They should update their Web Site to reflect. We booked thru Booking.com and 4 hours before we were supposed to check in I guess Booking.com ran the Credit Card we used to book the Room, and for some reason (still unknown), the card was declined - so the reservation was cancelled. The proprietors of this Motel were nice to reinstate the reservation when we arrived and gave us the same rate.

Breakfast could be much better with a couple of changes. There is no Half & Half for the coffee - just powdered creamer )-: They offer 'make your own waffles', but there was no syrup. The scrambled eggs are powdered. They offered packets of Oatmeal, but the water to make it isn't hot enough and there is no microwave, so the Oatmeal isn't edible. They had fresh blueberries out to put with the Yogurt (dispensed out of a big machine, so did not know the nutritional info. / ingredients) - but the blueberries had not been washed, and several were smooshy/over ripe). The girl who worked the breakfast room on Sat. was extremely friendly.

They were doing construction, trash all over the parking lot where I parked. I asked if my floor could be cleaned, they never did. We needed to use the elevator, construction stuff in our way, it was terrible.

The room wasn’t clean and smelled awful. I had to keep the window open for a while but the smell didn’t go away. There was also a gigantic spider on the ceiling, and I found a grain of rice on the chair. Someone was probably eating red rice in my room before I arrived.

They charge me for a smoking fee when I didnt smoke there! The room was together with me they smoke but I didn't and the supervisor just said was smelling at smoke.

Breakfast was good. Impressed with the yogurt machine. Could use a little more variety (second meat, bagels)

Housekeeping should not be by request only. At the very least have someone always available to provide housekeeping items (extra towels, amenities, etc.).
