Staff is amazing, very kind and helpful. Food was delicious. The views of the river or overlooking the town are beautiful! Room was very clean and comfortable.

Walls are thin...lol Switched room after 1st night of not being able to sleep well. Rest of stay was fabulous.

Toilet was inoperable and had to ho from second floor to 1 st floor to use restroom Maintenance was not available and hotel did not offer is another room. Stopper in tub did not work.

The deck overlooking the river. The people were friendly. The staff very friendly.

The food and the view of the river. We enjoyed watching the barge traffic and fishing boats. The price is very reasonable.

The beds were too soft and caused pain.

Nice location with nice views

Very tiny room, very crowded, air conditioner very noisy. Dirty ceiling fan, I was afraid to turn it on because dirt would fly all over

Was not expecting a room with the river view, but it was beautiful and quaint. A little small though but the bathroom was roomy. Liked having breakfast included.

Room was a little tight but bed was comfy. It seemed that everyone was allowed to go on vacation, including the general manager the same time. It left one girl in the bar area to handle it, getting dinner orders and waiting. Breakfast was even worse as the lone waitress was taking orders, getting drinks, cooking the food, serving it ad cashing people out. Se he did an outstanding job given the circumstances but the general manager who had taken vacation too should have been called and gotten into the hotel to assist as long as was needed to get the situation taken care of. I have been in restaurant and management service for many, many years, owning my own restaurant and other businesses, and you never leave a place, especially one as renowned as the Lafayette so short staffed. YOU, the manager and your management staff are responsible to fill in regardless of what you have or want to do otherwise. That was unconscionable. There were a few people who were not as understanding as the ones that stayed in the restaurant, but I know that they would not give a favorable review to their family and friends about their experience that day. That's what can disrupt and destroy te reputation and business for the Lafayette. Perception!

I love the history and the fact that they have kept the ambiance of the era in which it was built. Modern amenities blended with Riverboat era architecture and furnishings.
