The location was extremely convenient since our weekend trip was to see two games at Kauffman Stadium. The owner was delightful and very welcoming! They can serve me the crème brûlée French toast any time. It was simply magnificent! Will definitely plan a return trip there!!!

Bathroom and shower was a bit cramped - it’s an older property.

The breakfast was delicious and it was great to have access to the kitchen! We are newlyweds and were able to get wine glasses and a cork screw for the wine we brought to enjoy. We loved the huge spa tub that was in our room! We were in the Italian Suite which was posh, with a comfortable loveseat and two luxurious robes. We were comfortable and able to relax after a very busy wedding!

Breakfast was excellent and the location is also excellent

Bathroom was too small, no conditioner for your hair, coffee maker in the room, would not work. Sink was in the bedroom. No closet to hang your clothes. It just was not up to expectations. Would not return.

First time staying at a bed and breakfast. Food was good. Employees were friendly. Didn't have any issues with noise from other guests like I've had in the past at hotels. I normally don't sleep well in a place I'm not used to but slept great while here. I would stay here again.

The building itself is historically beautiful. The rooms are decorated in French themes, and everything was very clean, comfortable, and inviting. The host was very friendly and we felt right at home.

The weather was turning bad as we traveled to Independence, and we were so grateful to be able to arrive early. Innkeeper Debbie was friendly and gracious and cooked us a wonderful hearty breakfast. The inn is located a short distance from the Truman Library/Museum, so was very convenient for us as we passed through the area.

The room and bath were a bit small, but that's perfectly understandable in an historic home. We were very comfy there.

The decor, cleanliness, comfort, privacy and staff were all excellent!

Owner and Innkeepers were great. Very friendly and hospitable. Willing to share information and personal connections to Inn. An exceptional breakfast, which was served an hour before normal, due to a personal appt we had. We certainly appreciated their flexibility.

Too little time to spend there, which was our issue.

It was beautiful and quiet. The breakfast was homemade and delicious. We got there before others checked in and was able to glance in the other rooms as well. Close to a lot of fun things to do and places to eat. Staff was absolutely amazing. There were free drinks in a cooler in the dining room and some homemade snacks set out for us when we got in.

There was nothing there I didn't like.
