Unique decor, antique home & woodwork & furnishings are all lovely. The mattress was comfortable and I slept well. Breakfast was good and a great way to start the day.
I would rate cleanliness 4/10. Small kitchen appliances are stored above a toilet (!!), there was blood on the toilet bowl in our guest room, and the floors in the main house had dirty rugs. (Some other minor things, but were typical for a lived-in home with 200+ years of age that were not bothersome as they would be expected.)
The air conditioning was inadequate and the house was 78 degrees inside on an 89 degree day.
The description said “no pets,” so I assumed that there would not be pets on the property. But, the owner has a dog and I broke out in hives from sitting upright in a chair for 5 minutes.

The hostess was wonderful with the children staying there. She came up with impromptu activities and “jobs” for them to do. After a day of entertaining the kids in the car or at the local parks, this was huge. The house was a wonderful historic building. The sweet dog and tame chickens just added to the atmosphere.
The downtown area of Glasgow, KY is struggling. However the Inn is a great location to stay for sightseeing at the caves.

The location was very good, easy to reach and also very close to eateries and shopping. The breakfast was excellent. Cherie makes the breakfast right there and serves it at the dining table. Really home made! We stayed two nights, so enjoyed breakfasts both days which were different. One evening instead of going out to eat, we decided to have take out. Cherie was very gracious and let us use dishes and glasses. We sat on the porch, enjoyed the meal and had a great time!
Unfortunately our rooms were not together, but in the end it didn't matter

Cherie’s place is an historic gem, her breakfast was delicious and she is the consummate hostess. She gave us the suggestion of A Little Taste of Texas for dinner and it also far exceeded expectations.

Breakfast was fabulous!
Convenient to Mammoth Cave (our destination)
Loved the convenience of the town square with plenty of options for dinner
We enjoyed the live music on the square and the small town feel of the downtown area.
Bathrooms was fabulous for a bed and breakfast - I have experienced several bed and breakfasts with marginal bathrooms!
It was a hot period of time and cooling a big old house is difficult. By morning it was cool, but it was a bit warm when we went to bed. I am sure if it wasn't 90+ outside it would have been fine

We loved our stay at Main Street bed and breakfast. It was so nice to stay somewhere other than your typical hotel room. Cheri cooked us a wonderful breakfast. She sat down with us and we had a nice conversation.

Everything. Cherie is an amazing host/owner. The atmosphere, the house is gorgeous, it's clean and the house is comfortable. The breakfast she made us was top notch. The rooms are beautiful!
Unfortunately, the bed in the America room was so uncomfortable that we didn't get a good night sleep. I recommend a 3 inch gel foam topper on the bed and it would be so much better!

Cherie is a wonderful host. Her morning breakfast was a treat and a great start to our day. We were in Glasgow for a week and every morning she provided a delicious creation usually including fresh eggs from the chickens out back. Our room was spacious with plenty of storage space. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Kentucky.

The breakfast was wonderful. Cherie was a great host and shared lots of local information. The room and especially the bed were comfortable. We received an upgrade for not extra cost. It was in a fantastic location to local shops and restaurants.
The room and could have been cleaner. The couch needs new cushions in order for it to be comfortable.

The house was very nice. It was central for what we wanted to do. The breakfasts were very good. Breakfast was at a reasonable time. We were given a key to the house just in case we came in late. We got there about 20 minutes before our arrival time and Cheri hurried & finished cleaning our room so we could go ahead & get settled. The bathroom was a decent size and the water pressure was great.
I'm not a dog person, but my sister is so she played with the dog. So if you don't like dogs this is not the place for you. Our room could have been dusted a little better ( maybe since we were early she didn't take the time to dust). There was a pedestal sink in the bathroom so not much counter space.

Breakfasts (2) were delicious and homemade. Plentiful and diverse and well cooked and served by Cherie.
The only difficulty we had, and it is minor, was the number of devices that needed to be charged. We found the double plug in the wall in the bathroom, and alternated to get every thing up to speed for the following day. We appreciated the extension cord that allowed easy use of the hair dryer. Thank you, Cherie!!

I loved the property and the owner/caretaker, Miss Cherie. She was an incredible host and so loving and engaging to my two young children. As a single mother traveling on a 10 day adventure, any downtime is glorious and welcome.
Breakfast was delicious and she even made homemade peach cobbler from her peach tree. My daughter loved the chickens and my son enjoyed the history of the home.
We wish we would have stayed longer because Mainstreet is truly a home away from home. ❤️
I loved everything

The house is a delightful surprise that takes you back in time while providing updated amenities. I highly recommend this B&B and we plan to return one day.
