We really enjoyed the breakfast in-room. The food was delicious. The room was also very pretty, and we really enjoyed the vibe there.
Although the breakfast was great, it would have been great if we were given notice/choice for the breakfast beforehand so that we can let them know about our preference etc.

The surprise breakfast and the jungle like experience
Not enough hot water for shower

Very comfortable accommodation with extra s of heated bathroom floor, heated towels, hot tub.
Great meal every day!
We never met the staff but communicated well through texting. I’m sure most guests like to come and go but we like to meet the staff.

John was a great host, we were on our honeymoon and he offered to upgrade us to a lovely private cottage with a hot tub. The location is great as it's close to the park enterance.

We loved the cottage that we stayed at. It has one queen size bed and a small loft twin bed. Our son enjoyed his own bed a lot. The bonus is a small window at the end of the small bed. It has a magnificent morning view.
Nothing, everything is great!

For us this was the perfect place to stay during our visit to the Volcanoes National Park, it's just a 3 minutes drive to the park entry. Our cottage was so cozy and we loved to use the jacuzzi in the garden. The homemade breakfast was delicious!

Cozy room, comfy bed, great coffee, considerable appliances, tasty breakfast made by welcoming staff!
The road was a little bit difficult to find when it was dark.

location is great!
given the cost it’s is not a good deal. the rooms are very noisy ( paper thin walls) and the breakfast is a joke…cold poorly made French toast in the fridge that you are meant to eat on sad broken little trays in your room. the breakfasts I’ve had in motels were better.

Amazingly unique stay that makes you feel secluded despite being close what the Village has to offer. The staff provided day-long concierge level service.
Nothing.

Everything. The staff was the embodiment of Aloha, and were simply amazing. I really don’t want to tell anyone about this place because I don’t want it to be difficult to book on our next trip. But a hidden gem like this where everything feels great has to be shared.
Hmm, not a thing, everything was great.

The setting is beautiful and the room, super cozy. We came off-season so we felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. Our wonderful hostess gave us the recommendation of walking Devastation Trail at night (instead of the day) which we would not have known and totally missed out had she not told us. We read ahead of our trip that restaurants near by closed early so we came prepared with our own snacks and beverages and had a lovely meal on the covered lanai while the rain gently came down around us.
The bathroom got a little cold so it definitely woke you up if you had to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. The room lacked a little table to work/eat from so we grabbed the one in the bathroom.

Location to Volcano National Park is amazing. The property is quiet and well kept. The owners think of everything to make the stay comfortable and easy.
nothing!

Location was close to volcano National park
The included breakfast was a huge disappointment. It was just a cold plate of soggy French toast one day and pancakes the next day, and a tiny plate of half spoiled cut fruit left in the fridge the night before. They give you a small microwave in the room to heat it up. The room was small and has no tables for eating your breakfast.

The suite was very clean and comfortable. We appreciated the kitchenette area - enjoyable to share meals such as the fresh breakfast delivered daily and the dinner takeouts we purchased from the Tuk Tuk Thai. The private hot tub was also helpful after a day of hiking at the national park.

Really beautiful and unique (in the best sense!) accommodation right by VNP. The bungalows are modern, but sympathetically designed for the surroundings, with wonderful modern fittings. Such a pleasure to be away from a cookie-cutter chain hotel room. The grounds of the property are so beautiful, and the staff are absolutely fabulous.
Absolutely nothing could have been better. Well, I suppose I wish I could have stayed for longer....!!!

All the little details to make sure guests were comfortable like the heated floors, towel bars, portable heater, and the hot tub. The included breakfast was also good and a nice added touch
At some point in the morning, the outlets near the bed stopped working and didn't provide power. Thankfully we were checking out and didn't necessarily need them, but thought that could've been an issue if we we did.

the location was great. But be early for the restaurants as they book out quickly and only take walk ins.
we had the Garden suite and could utilise the dinning room which was really nice to spread out in for Breakfast and general doing working after a days hiking.
it was all great.

Incredibly well placed, very nice accommodation. The breakfasts were pleasant, fresh fruit every day, and a microwavable hot breakfast, which sounds a bit "iffy" but were in fact very nice.
The proximity to the Volcanoes national park is amazing, we did many hikes, and shorter walks, and went to see the lava at night.
The only reason I marked down the equipment, is that the cottages are advertised as having a "kitchenette", they do not. There is a microwave. We arrived thinking we could do a little occasional food preparation, but reheating in the microwave is all that is possible.
