Very spacious!
Breakfast was a basket in the fridge. Didn’t fill up my family much for the morning.
Sheets were short on one bed.

Enjoyed the room and it was clean.
There wasn't any complimentary coffee in the lobby, instead of making my own. It didn't have complimentary breakfasts daily. It didn't have an oven to make pizzas in our room. There was no sharp knife to cut cheese or pizzas.
We never met the owners of the lodge, as they were off on Mondays.

The privacy
I went to the office several times in search of towels and trash bags. One lady mentioned she would bring them to my room. Fine and dandy, but the door was left unlocked.

I liked the personalized note card. Most people don’t pay attention on how to spell my name but I felt like who ever wrote it took the time to pay attention. So thank you for that. Room was set decently for a group that planned on staying more that one night. The breakfast baskets were filled with enough for 5 people and there was plenty of coffe pods for all of us!! My daughter and I enjoyed the dogs people were able to bring.
The mattresses on all the beds were awful. Might be time to consider changing them out. Lots of lighting for our room. Air conditioner worked great! Bathroom was roomy. We attempted to have dinner at the restaurant but they were out of almost everything. They had a couple beers but appeared to have enough hard alcohol. They ran out of fries? And appetizers? Not sure how this happens. The tacos my husband had were great!! Kudos to the chef who made those! The ale my husband did get was warm although the glass was cold. All in all if you are looking for a reasonably priced place to lay your head for ONE night this is the place. I got the impression that most of the individuals that thought this was an “Exceptional “ place may be friends with the owners or maybe the ones who over indulged a bit and made it uncomfortable to look at the scenery out back. There was no one in the office when we arrived and our key and information was hanging outside on a clip. Not sure I like having my information out there like that. Nobody in the building when we wanted to check out either. All in all this family won’t be staying there again. We are thinking we may just pay more and hopefully get a more comfortable bed and tastier food.

The owners of this lodge are fantastic hosts. They accommodated our every need. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the view is breathtaking. I can't recommend staying here enough.

The location was great and owners very accommodating when we arrived late and they had just closed the kitchen. We had dinner on-site three times and the food was very good.
The “breakfast” could have been improved with some freshly baked muffins and fruit added to our basket. Restaurant hours were inconsistent.

A truly lodge paradise. The decor made you feel like you were in a luxurious western. Staff were super friendly the second we checked in. Hospitality was on point. Breakfast basket in fridge for breakfast. Quaint music playing on the TV when we arrived at our room. They had a card addressed to us thanking us for being there and to make sure if we needed anything to ask. We sat on porch outside our room in the rocking chairs. We ate at the bar/grill downstairs for supper. We sat outback afterwards and took in the beautiful mountains & brook below. Top notch place, we didn't want to leave.
Walls are thin, crying baby at 6am woke us, but not the lodges fault.

They were very kind and welcoming. The lodge was comfortable and spacious, and the food at the attached restaurant was very good. We felt welcome and cared for.

We experienced a bit of an odd welcome, as we were charged for our reservation nearly three weeks before we actually stayed at the hotel , while the description stated that payment would be charged at the hotel. When we arrived we were informed that it was the last day the hotel would be open and that breakfast was in a basket in the refrigerator. Since we had booked our stay with the expectation of a cooked breakfast, this was a disappointment. The bed was a bit soft, the bathroom only provided two towels -- it was all just ok, given the fairly substantial price. The views from the dining room are spectacular and the service was friendly. Overnight, we received four separate emails regarding payment, even though we didn't owe anything at that point. All in all, a mixed bag.
