The place is well kept and is definitely worth a stay if you happen to be around. The saloon is an ideal hotspot to dive into the Cajun music.

The airconditioning of the room would need an upgrade.

Bed was very high off the ground - hard to get in to.

Horrible experience, we decided to leave early after our first night even though there was no refund for our next nights. 1/The room was particularly noisy as walls were thin and people were discussing in the shared kitchen until 1.30am. 2/ We could not sleep because of the very loud air conditioning which was very close to the bed, so we had to decide whether we wanted to sleep without noise and burn of heat or have a correct temperature but be impossible to sleep because of the terrible noise. 3/ The mattress was the softest mattress I have ever seen (not in the good way). It was just a piece of foam. So it was impossible to sleep and to move in the bed (and God knows we are not very demanding as we have traveled all over the world). Also, it was never specified that there was no bathroom in the room… it was a shared one. Also, we have been afraid of potential bedbugs as we have spotted numerous small dots on the so called mattress. We do not recommend at all. We contacted the landlords through booking app (as it is self check in, nobody is there). They never replied to our problems...

I appreciated that it was possible to check in early, also they had a good variety of drinks at the bar.

The place is great, music was very good (most nights). We saw an opossum in the garden, which was cool.

Place not super clean. Lack of storage. Basically no staff to talk to. Expensive !

Beautiful house , well equipped kitchen

it was so unique and convenient to the locations we spend our time at for New Year’s. The inside reminded me of a house I lived in college and the bar attached was so cool!

Tipical american cottage. Pretty experience.

Too much expensive if compared to other (hotels motels B&B) in other towns in USA.

I imagine this place is even better when the bar is opening and fun things are happening but it was very restful when we were the only four visitors!

We were three people in the birds nest room which was a double bed, a futon, and a separate but private bathroom. The private bathroom had a bath but not a shower (not ok but we were able to use the shared showers and luckily it wasn't busy so that wasn't a problem). The hallway was actually a dorm with just a curtain for the wall of the dorm which meant the hallway light was the dorm light so we couldn't have the light on in the hallway at night, this wouldn't normally be a problem but the lock for our private bathroom was difficult even in the light and the dark made it harder. None of the windows were fully covered, not a massive deal for privacy but the light came in. No problems with noise from the bar (even with a band playing) but outside noise was really bad eg train horn in the middle of the night. Checking in was a bit difficult, we had to get the bartender to call someone to help us, and then we didn't get told important information such as there were beds behind the curtain in the hall. We were also only given one key between the three of us, we were able to pay a $10 deposit for one more but they didn't have a third and we gave back the second key early so we didn't have to track someone down to check out and get our $10 back in the morning.
